"To fight without knowing your cause, is to fight blindly" School: John C. Fremont High School Year: Senior
Name: Gilgamesh, Vincent, Lancaster Alias: Gil, Red thunder Date of Birth: August 21 Age: 18 Nationality: American Ethnicity: Caucasian Blood Type: A Height: 6’4” Weight: 215 Lbs Hair: Red Eye Color: Grey Handedness: left handed Sexual Orientation:Straight
Grades: Str:B Dex:B Con:D Wis:D
Physical Appearance: Standing at Six feet four inches with a lithe frame. Gil looks like he is as far from a threat as possible. His red hair is grown to his shoulders and though he keeps it somewhat combed it is always just short of being messy.
His eyes are normally narrowed, though as he is always in deep concentration. He never slouches and he is noticeable by his fluid catlike motions as he moves about.
Though his frame is lithe, his muscle structure is finely toned. Gil's training has made his body a very good picture of a young man with a light frame in excellent condition.
His only physical flaws are a slight yellowing of the edges of his teeth from smoking, his one vice. And his eyes which suffer from Achromatopsia.
Apparel & Accessories: For the most part, Gil wears a large variety of clothing and so forth. His basic type is that of a pair of slacks, a button down shirt worn untucked, and a pair of sneakers. but by and large he will don pretty much anything that suits his fancy when he gets out of bed in the morning.
His sunglasses are a constant in any wardrobe however, this is due to his light-sensitive eyes.
Naturally as a person not out to cause any problems. Gil wears his school uniform during school hours. He has gone fore the blazer instead of the sweater and for the most part isn't bothered by the uniform at all.
Personality: Gilgamesh's personality is a very simple one. He wants to get by in life and make something of himself. He is a person with the goal of becoming a better person more than anything else in life. His ambitions are devoted to self improvement.
A calm confidence seems to radiate from Gil. He really never loses his cool and though not coldly calculating, he is likely to think out a situation before many people will do so.
Gil also is not fond of combat. He has nothing against it, but he refuses to fight without cause. And he is not a person to create a cause for combat. Far from a pacifist, Gil just views a serious fight as a last resort to other methods. Getting a spar out of him isn't nearly as hard though.
Gil's best traits are a kind nature, and a good sense of humor though it lies on the dry and sarcastic end of the spectrum. He is also supportive and reliable to any of his friends.
Miscellaneous Information:
Favorite color: Green Likes: Reading, martial art's practice, Spending time with friends, meeting new people, Flirting Dislikes: Bullies, lairs, thieves, Hobbies: Acting, dancing, puzzles and models
Combat:
Style: Free-Form Though Gil uses martial arts, he uses no particular style, instead he has developed a mix of palm strikes, elbow strikes and back fists, with low to midrange kicks and knee strikes. Gil uses counter grapples based off Judo and redirection of attack for defense based off Tai Chi.
Weaknesses: Gil's light frame and lack of recent fighting are his major weak points in a fight. His body is more than able to take it's fair share of blows, but he will not take direct hits very weal. If a few powerful blows connect squarely, Gil will be in serious trouble. He also is not a grappler, instead he counters them. This leads to Gil's likely defeat if a grappler gets a solid hold on him
Gil's lack of serious fighting since the end of his freshman days has made him less attuned to the mindset of a major combatant, he is far from lacking experience, but he is out of practice in actual fighting and a constant fighter has a serious advantage over him.
Strengths: Gil is fast, maneuverable and packs a decent wallop for someone who doesn't go around bashing skulls for a hobby. His constant practice has left him in great condition. Hitting him can be a problem as he likes to dart around his foes and deliver powerful blows to weak points and take them down quick.
Another advantage is the fact that Gil doesn't believe in what some call a fair fight, not when things are serious. In a spar he will not resort to some of these things. But Gil is not above breaking the nose right away, kicking the balls, gouging peoples eyes and generally making life very unpleasant for a person trying to hurt him.
History: Gilgamesh, Vincent, Lancaster is the only child to a rather average set of parents. His early life as an infant and toddler were nothing worthy of real notice. He had birthdays and a proper upbringing as he grew up, but nothing in his life really had that much of an impact on him during his early years, for all that could be concerned, he was a normal little boy. His only defect was a problem with his eyes known as Achromatopsia. Treatments were attempted leaving his eyes extremely sensitive
This way of life stayed the same throughout a large portion of Gil's life up to date. Then he entered Junior high. Gil had started developing the common rebellious stage of a young person. But this did not fare well for him. The corporal punishment system was something that the young boy did not cope with very well. And through the years of junior high it started to make him develop the fighting style he uses to this day.
The major factor leading to his defiance was that a good friend of his from his days before school was brutally beaten for losing his homework. Gil's friend was a good person and would have likely made up the work and done a little extra, but he didn't even get the chance to explain before getting pummeled. The reasons for his friend's misfortune was not actually what set Gil off. It was seeing a person who was gentle and warm being treated in such a way for a minor thing. This caused Gil to have many problems in believing the system was the correct one. It was the first step in dictating what Gil would do.
This event happened at the start of junior high and seeing such brutality being done over and over, Gil would get into fights constantly. His parents were against violence and wouldn't let him be taught martial arts. So instead he started picking fights left and right, not to win, but to learn. Over time he honed his skills so he could fight back. It consisted of both fighting others left and right, while learning their techniques, then figuring out how to fight how he wished in a way that felt comfortable and effective to him.
Gil wished to simply make a difference, he was beginning to feel that if he could start giving some of the cruelty back to people, they might be able to understand what was wrong with it. Fighting fire with fire. Thats what Gil felt was the right thing to do. He was still much to young a narrow-minded to realize that if he was able to work on a large scale, his actions would make things much worse.
When Enrolled at a basic public school for his freshman year, Gill attempted to rebel, make a difference. Charged with the idealism of a person his age, Gil started to collect students and tried to take the system down. It was during this time he was given the title of "Red Thunder". His views of the problem he tried to face were woefully small. He soon realized how much of a problem this was for him and at the end of his freshman year, many of his original group had left him, and soon he was down to nothing but himself. An attack on a faculty member left Gil on the ground and nearly broke his will.
He was then sent to Fremont by his parents. The disciple offered by it sounded like a fine idea to his parents, and they hoped that being away from everything that influenced him would help Gil change. For the next year, Gil was little more than a shell, his passion was not quenched, but he started looking at things differently. The year after that Gil started to really open his eyes and decided on a different approach on life. The corporal punishment system had nothing to do with him as long as he didn't cause problems. He was far from afraid of them, he just had started to lose his motivation.
Now he in his senior year and the school. His lifestyle is much more relaxed and easy now. His combat practice is more or less a way to keep himself in shape instead of letting himself become a weapon. In short, his attempts to become a better person and get through his schooling has made him much less of a threat than he could have been with his previous and fierce dedication. However, Gil has seen that things have not gotten any better over time and he knows he has a choice to make at some point in time. Continue living he good life he had started making for himself, or once again step up and this time actually try and make a difference.
Alright, Girugamesh, the necessary changes have been made, and I like what you did with it. The bio flows a lot better now, so, keep up the good work as you RP.
