ooc: Firstly, this'll take place before Broken and Bloodied. Secondly, this is for people I've not yet roleplayed with. So, if you're currently in a thread with me, or have been in one of my threads, please hold your posts this time. Thanks.

ic:

Saturday, ten in the morning, sun beating down on the streets, and just the faintest hint of a cooling breeze blowing.

God, it was a fantastic day to do some running. The Thai had woken on this particularly pleasant morning to look out of his window, before immediately hopping from bed and donning his running gear. Within minutes, he was downstairs and on the front patio of the dormitory, stretching his back and legs out slowly to loosen the muscles up properly. Nothing hurt more than an early morning stitch, and he wasn't about to chance one of those.

The brief warmup took only a couple of minutes, and after plugging his headphones in place with a slow stride off, he set into a steady jog. Running east from the dormitories onto the street linked with the Collective on that side, crossing onto the opposite side and running along the sidewalk in a smooth, quick pace as his music blared loudly in his ears. He usually ran by the length of time elapsed on his iPod, running for twenty tracks at a time, averaging out at around three to four each, that put his run at a minimum of one hour, maximum of ninety minutes. Perfect to get a burn on.

About ten songs in, maybe forty-five minutes through, he found himself running through a park somewhere in east Chula Vista. It wasn't the first time he'd come through here, but all too often his eyes were just on the pavement in front of him and he didn't take in the surroundings at all. This time, he stopped after five minutes of running through to take a short breather, grabbing a drink from the water bottle in his hand and slowing to a walk for a few minutes whilst looking around.

The park was actually quite nice, now that he looked around, and on one side of the path he was running on, maybe twenty metres or so away, there was a man-made pond. Clearly man-made going by the planting around it, and the footpath that perfectly surrounded the edging, but still very nice all the same. Deciding that he could finish his run after a few minutes, he padded across the grass in his running shoes and shorts, having tucked his shirt into the back of his shorts, and walked slowly around the edge of the pond, pulling the headphones from his ears.

Surprisingly, it was quiet enough not to be a constant buzz in his ears, and he sighed in quiet contention as he walked, listening to the sounds of a few birds chirping around him.

'This is quite idyllic...'

Smiling to himself, he walked a little bit closer to the edge of the water, sitting down on the grass with his legs crossed and sipped his water. Leaning forward onto his knees, he closed his eyes for a moment and let the hint of a breeze cool his skin, warmed by the now even-hotter sun overhead.

The muffled sounds of feet hitting dirt steadily pushed faintly in Aleece’s ear, just under the pulse of her accelerated heart, the pumping blood creating a white noise for her. Her breathing was set a faster pace though but still in time, sort of in an odd harmony as she completed her twelfth lap around the pond in the park. She needed a new scene to take her run, the gym…well she wasn’t going to risk running into anymore one more. She needed the quite, absent of even her iPod, her cell along with her PPC back in her dorm.

Nothing

The peace she had been wanting for days and unable to find and it seemed she had to go as far out of her way as running in this remote part of the park in Chula Vista. Finally with a huff when she felt her lungs where going to give out on her, (her stamina still quite lacking) she stopped in the middle of the path bending over and placing a hand high on her waste, massaging her side as if it would relieve the pain.

Even for wearing the cinched sweat pants (that were pulled up to the middle of her aching calves) and the customary black sports bra she worked out in she felt entirely to hot. She had finished her bottle of water on her seventh lap or so, and with a quiet pained moan to herself she straightened, forcing herself to stretch.

She still had yet to notice she wasn’t in fact alone anymore not moving from the middle of the path way as she dropped her arms and picked up one foot, reaching a hand behind her to grab her toe. The pull on the burning tendons did nothing to relieve her rung out state at the moment, and she attempted to draw in several long breaths to regulate her pounding heart and almost heaving breaths.

As she did that she switched feet treating her leg to the same cool down routine before she widened her legs a little more and bent stretching herself down as far as she could. With another grunt she straightened and pushed a hand over the top of her mussed hair, the bun she had, had it in loose now from her jog, a few pieces falling into her face but to worn out to care how she looked.

Turning to the pond she was about to make her way over to the grass so she could sit for a minute and rest before heading back to campus, but it was the site of a guy sitting there that made her give a short audible, “Oh,” and stop short. Aleece hadn’t even realized anyone was here besides her. Of course she had made it out here it had been early and she really hadn’t expected for that my passerby’s while she was here…

EDIT: Ain't you lucky, got my 100th post. ^^

ic:

He'd heard her running before he turned around to glance at her, though he held off from doing so at first under the impression that the runner would just continue on their way without stopping. However, as the footsteps came to a pause he gave a short look over his shoulder at the girl, pausing with an involuntarily raised eyebrow.

'Cute...'

A rather obvious, and some would say typically 'male', sentiment perhaps, but it was one of the first things to come to the observant Thais mind. He would look for barely a second, but it was enough to note her features, the slightly disheveled bun in her hair, the apparel she wore, even the slight flush to her face where she'd puffed to catch her breath.

Still, he turned back, figuring that he would leave her to her devices. If she was out for a run, it would be better manners to let her be, odds were she's simply stopped for a moment before continuing on.

Oddly, her footsteps didn't pick up again, instead the rustle of grass behind him and a quiet exclamation that made him turn again, this time looking at her directly as she observed him. From the sound of slight surprise, she'd not noticed him until now, so with a light smile and a small nod of his head, he spoke in the accented dialect of English that was unique to him.

"Good morning, miss."

He didn't stand or move at first, not sure if she intended to sit or she'd just been taken by surprise at his quiet presence, but kept his eyes calmly set on hers until she chose to respond, however she would do so.

Dumbly enough Aleece just stood there for a moment staring at the guy without a shirt on and resting in the grass next to the water. The first thing she thought when she did nothing but practically gape at him was think…hot. The guy was attractive even though she didn’t necessarily go on looks as one of things that fascinated her to anyone. He could possibly be the world’s largest asshole with that pretty face of his, she didn’t know…

But it still didn’t stop her wondering eyes in that brief pause on her part to take in the way his mouth curved up in a slight smile, just adding to the quality of his looks. It was the sound of his voice really that snapped her too and her lips parted and she took a step forward her cheeks heating up anew, something she couldn’t blame on her run.

“Ah-” she Aleece managed with and smiled herself quickly lifting an arm and crossing it over her torso so she could grasp onto her other arm dangling at her side in a almost subconscious need to cover up. She didn’t have a t-shirt she had just taken off running in what she had to early in the morning when she started to worry about it. “Aleece, please…” She introduced herself, not wanting to be called miss again.

“And good morning,” she said her breath evened out now even though her breathes were still a bit deeper then normal, “mind if I sit? Just need a quick break…”

If he didn’t want to be disturbed she would be more then happy to go somewhere else she just didn’t want to make that much of an effort right at this moment, her muscles holding a faint tremble from the work out she had put them through. Compared to him though, she felt like a regular slob…It was obvious he trained in something, the muscles cording through his body very easy to make out...

When she gave her name, the smile widened just a little in response as he tilted his head slightly in acknowledgment. He successfully stifled a chuckle at the sudden bout of self-consciousness that apparently gripped her, ironic considering he was the shirtless one...

"Aroon."

As she regained her breath and asked if he minded her sitting, he did allow the chuckle to slip past his lips, shaking his head as he spoke again.

"Not at all. Please, by all means..."

One thing Aroon couldn't help but notice was the subtle flush her cheeks had taken again as she'd glanced at him herself -no, he'd not missed that either-, and inwardly he couldn't deny a mild boost to his ego that he'd made the girl--Aleece, blush. His body shifted as he scooted round on the grass, just enough so that he was turned a little more towards her than he would have been before, having sat facing the water almost entirely until now. His overall posture didn't change though, not making any moves to 'casually' display his form.

Appreciative of the female form, and certainly no eunuch when it came to the subject, Aroon was, however, remarkably straight with people. He didn't preen or talk above himself, he was simply 'him', and in turn it made it very easy to talk to people like Aleece, even if a slight...distraction caught his mind every so often. When she sat, he let out a slow breath, leaning his head back for a moment as he cricked out a slightly knotted muscle in his neck. Sitting like this did cause cramps to creep up, and he hadn't stretched out fully before sitting down here.

Turning slightly, resting one palm on the grass, his other on the opposite knee, he chuckled quietly before speaking, "I know it sounds terribly cliché, but do you come by this way often? It's surprisingly pleasant, as I've just discovered today...", he trailed off, waiting for whatever response he would get. It felt like a suitable opening remark, certainly something they could both relate to in any regard...

“Aroon,” she repeated her small smile spreading a little wider showing her dimples barely, and when he chuckled the deep sound pleasing her ears she nodded once when he said he didn’t mind. “Thanks.”

She didn’t hesitate after that to make her way over after that crouching down and putting her hands behind her to catch herself as she almost literally flopped down with a sigh of relief. Her legs were bent in front of her, feet flat on the grass and she rested her forearms against the tops of her knees and ducked her head down letting it hang.

Aleece only looked up when he started talking again and she couldn’t help but laugh softly at what he said, “I have to agree…that is horribly cliché.”

She noticed that he had turned to face her a little and now she had a better view of his body which caused to redirect her eyes back down between her legs to the grass but continued on to answer him, “Um… no I don’t usually run outside, its mostly on a treadmill…just needed some fresh air, change of scenery I guess. But I have passed by here before…”

She had been trying to not run into Ari. The boy confused the hell of her, making her act in ways she wouldn’t normally, plus she didn’t think she could step back into that gym… With a shake of her head she stopped that train of thought quickly and looked up smiling amiably to her present company. Aleece was glad find her breath had evened out even if the rubbery feel in her legs hadn’t left yet.

“So, do you go to Fremont or Knox?” She asked curiously. Aroon didn’t look that much older then herself and there wasn’t a whole lot of people she knew specifically, but was sure she would have remembered if she had seen him at one point or another…

His lips curled back slightly into a wider smile as he laughed in agreement at the obvious (yet all the same unintended) cliché, rolling his eyes as he let the moments laughter fade back down. Alright, so it was a bit silly, now that he heard himself say it...

Still, when she went to answer -with the Thai again amusedly noting that her eyes flicked away from having looked at him-, he gave a nod, shrugging his shoulders to keep the topic on and, hopefully, divert her mind from whatever....other thoughts might have crept in.

"I see...I'm not a fan of treadmills, to be honest, they suck any enjoyment out of running for me, and let's face it, it's not exactly a riveting activity to begin with..." he quipped, grinning lightly. He expected she'd relate to that remark. After all, he'd yet to meet a runner who could honestly say they -enjoyed- their runs. Most conceded that it was the benefits of the run they enjoyed, that the actual activity was rather dull, and it was the main reason he ran outside. As Aleece had said, 'a change of scenery'. Why not get out and see what was out there?

The grin tapered back to the same affable smile as he continued the surreptitious glances back at her, observing her body language more than anything. Over the years, he'd found it gave him a better grasp on people than just conversation, especially when he'd been younger and his lack of knowledge on his condition had made it harder for him to hold such conversation...He noted the change in her eyes, an errant thought or memory that had popped in, then the little flinch that broke the line of thought. He returned the smile without hesitation, having taken an instant to debate whether asking would be of any use.

'Probably not. I certainly wouldn't be too comfortable discussing my thoughts with someone I met less than five minutes ago....'

Reaching for his water bottle, he pulled a small sip from the liquid, letting it swish through his mouth for a moment before swallowing it, and as he capped it again he paused at her question. He didn't object to answering it, but he also knew that too many of the students had unneccessary grudges against students from the opposing school. Not answering would appear arrogant, questioning her interest to know would be rude...

'Oh, fuck it.'

"I'm at Fremont myself, and same question, since you brought it up.", he retorted, raising an eyebrow with an obvious smile at her.

Aleece didn’t know if she genuinely enjoyed running but she liked the burn it built up, and the way it forced her mind to concentrate in that numbingly uncomplicated way. The fact that it was a time she spent by herself away from the things she did everyday, almost like a break, working her body in someway as apposed to just filling her head with things. She did it to keep in shape surely so she wouldn’t become grossly out of shape, from the cheeseburgers and secret stash of candies she kept in the top desk drawer, but she knew she didn’t do it for the simple enjoyment of being outdoors.

She would rather not have the distraction in that sense, the smell of grass or clean air, the sound of other people or animals.

But she smiled at his explanation of personally liking the freedom running outside seemed to bring. True it wasn’t nearly as constricting she had to admit even with her preference to run on the treadmill it got tedious at times. After he answered her with her head bed being down she missed the few glances her way concentrating on the grass before her own gaze drifted to him and watched him take a sip of the water waiting for him to go on. When he seemed to hesitate for a split second she tipped her head her brow creasing faintly.

When he did answer she merely smiled back and nodded, “Knox.”

She didn’t need to think twice about answering she didn’t mind she had chosen the school for one reason and one reason only to get herself ahead. It was a careful planning she was going to stick with at all costs, even leaving her family to do it.

“I’ve met some interesting people from Fremont,” she continued her smile growing a little more as she stretched her legs in front of her and titled herself back until she rested in the grass her hands behind her keeping her propped up. It was rather hard to keep acting self-conscious with how tired she felt at the moment (though she was still distinctly aware of her under dressed state…hell so was he.)

Laughing to herself she raised an eyebrow clearly teasing in a subdued kind of way as she continued, “Hopefully I won’t here disappointed here.”

"Well, I'm glad that the apparent animosity between the two doesn't quite stretch so far as us. I'd only really planned on a run today, left my binds back home."

He chuckled at the comment, highlighting ironically the 'apparent' need for Knox and Fremont to kick each other senseless at all opportunities. Personally, he now thought it was bullshit. Aleece made the third person he'd met from Knox that hadn't tried to take a swing at him, and even more ironically, only one person from Fremont hadn't shown him any kind of animosity at all.

Truly, a case of exceptions to the rule. But, then, the Thai rarely did anything by the norm. When you could (very nearly literally) see everything that happened around you, one grew wise to the patterns of behaviour in people. What better way to keep some uniqueness than by making conscious effort to stand out some?

"And I've met some pleasant characters from Knox, myself.", he returned, smiling that same light, airy expression that bared a few teeth to glint ivory in the light. Apparently, he'd just met one more, too, and as Aleece leaned back he allowed himself a little glance at her physique without quite the same discretion as before, smirking almost imperceptibly in approval. However he wanted to think, he was a sixteen year old male, and it was rather difficult not to notice an attractive girl for sixteen year old male at the best of times. Throw in his condition and it practically adds to a constant barrage of hormones, though a couple of years practice kept that suitably under wraps.

Thankfully.

An eyebrow piqued at the slightly loaded statement, and with a very slight tilt of his head, he smiled wryly before responding.

"Well, I suppose that would depend. If you mean 'here' as the school, that's up to fate. However, if you meant 'here' as in here, well, I'm sure I can do my best to be an accomodating host and keep you entertained....", he trailed off in a similarly teasing tone, the lilt of his accent drifting through the words with a practiced articulation.

She got what he meant about the hostility between the schools, but she found that regardless of attending the military academy she was almost an odd ball out. Aleece liked to think of herself as a amiable and friendly person despite her tendencies to shut herself in and not socialize. She didn’t purposefully dislike someone if they hadn’t given her reason her reason too. “Well…hopefully it won’t stretched to us, especially since I don’t fight.”

Lifting a hand she tapped her temple and smirked, “best to confuse your enemy given logic and a level head, using big words to confuse ‘em and get out while you still can. ‘The human brain is the most unusual toy.’ or something…”

Laughing softly she continued to lounge and rest her tired muscles and if she hadn’t been looking in Aroon’s direction she wouldn’t have caught his noticeably wondering gaze as she stretched out and fought the urge to blush under the fact. It was easy to admit he was an Adonis with the easy smile and chiseled features. It was all easy on the eyes (to say the least)…

As the conversation on his end continued she quirked an eyebrow at his mention of fate and suppressed a smoldering smirk at the coincident use of the word and she shook her head in mild amusement. “I’m afraid I don’t believe in fate, chance – maybe chance, but everyone has a choice. I don’t think it was fate that lead you say I could join you…” Aleece countered but kept her tone light in the face of the subject. “You either wanted me too or didn’t mind so you chose to unknowingly or purposefully enjoy such magnificent company.”

She laughed again at her rather self assured statement, the sound still soft but her smile it caused to show her dimpled cheeks before she went on, “but its still to be determined if you can adequately entertain me. So far you have been pleasant, not phenomenal. Magnificent deserves phenomenal."

The statement was rather bold her Aleece something she normally wouldn’t pull out, but she liked to test and see just what made people react and her tone still held that teasing lilt the challenge coloring her words but if only just, if only to make sure he knew to not take offense to it.

"Well said indeed...Of course, that works much better when your enemy is subject to such wiles..."

He smirked with a knowing glint in his eye at that, chuckling briefly before he discarded the subject. The thought had been one of common interest to him, since he both agreed and, yet, disagreed with the notion. He doubted that any foe he'd ever come across would be able to manipulate him in such a way, but saw no shame in exploiting the method when it was required.

As she stretched out, his heated gaze lingered only an instant more before he raised it back to her eyes, meeting hers with the near-black orbs of his own. Alright, her body was particularly appealing, but thus far she'd displayed a suitably appealing mind to complement it. It would be an insult to ogle her like a piece of meat, however tempting the notion might be. As such, with her own argument on the principle of fate, he interjected when she finished speaking, feeling the need to clarify his words.

"Of course, I use the term figuratively at best. I'm.....more of a realist, I suppose. Fate as a definition sounds quite droll, but it does deliver a certain emphasis when people talk of chance and coincidence...Though I would add that I certainly wouldn't have considered telling you to leave. The company is proving surprisingly good..."

He arched his back slightly as he stretched his arms out, the slightly awkward twist he was sitting at, though hardly uncomfortable, was causing his shoulder to stiffen a little. As he righted himself, he let an eyebrow sit cocked at the brash nature of her words, the grin creeping onto his lips a moment later as he mulled the remark in that instant.

'Well, if she wants to play it like that...'

His eyes drifted to the side for a moment or two, apparently in thought as he countered back. "Well..., I daresay I'm not one to adequately do anything, so if I'm to entertain you I'll need to leave you awestruck in the process...However, if I might be so bold, going by the blush on your face a few moments ago, my pleasantries haven't just been in the conversation...?"

His eyes trailed back to hers as the last sentence left his lips, retaining the hint of teasing tone and perhaps just a little more suggestiveness to them, coupled with the faintest curl of his lips at the sides of his mouth. He'd let that one hang in the air, see just how she'd respond to that, first.

"Well said indeed...Of course, that works much better when your enemy is subject to such wiles..."

“Of course,” she answered back with out thinking but then again she really didn’t have to use such tactics when she didn’t put herself in situations that would call for self-defense or the need to use her brains to possibly talk her way out of a unfavorable predicament. On a good day she didn’t even have enough to hold her own physically…

When he chuckled clearly moving on she continued with her own small smile only to have it spread even more when he countered her. Aleece didn’t know Aroon well enough to know his perception on life if he used the term loosely in a general sense or not but she was glad to hear that he was a bit of a realistic. Good. No need in romanticizing life with ideals that weren’t going to get you anywhere.

“Oh? Only surprisingly, hm?” Aleece said quickly forgetting her confidence issues with such a interesting person as her company. It wasn’t hard to find something in a person that would put her at ease and draw her out, and the quickest way was for that person to quip with her easily without hesitation and give back something she dished out. There was a cursory sense to how she acted though probing out to see just what she could get away with saying or how she could say it and she if she could trip up someone by saying it.

Even though she had been eying him with as much intent as he was she somehow missed the quick appreciative glace at her body, if she had she would have probably been tempted to blush…again. It wasn’t hard to get her to do that though given the right words or the right look…but still her reserved nature didn’t stop her from sending her own approving glance over him as twisted and stretched.

Aleece to say the least was delighted to hear him banter back with her, showing a confidence she always found appealing, but when Aroon pointed out the fact that she had been the one to blush at merely the site of him made her turn her head and bit her bottom lip lightly, her eyes still on him, giving him a side long glance. With that he had her and she couldn’t argue with the obvious fact that he had seen her redden, didn’t mean she wouldn’t try to turn the situation around.

“Perhaps I’m just not used to seeing half dressed guys on daily basis,” she said as she let her lip go and turned her head back to him seeing the faint curl of his lips as if he was just waiting to see how she would handle all that. Her pride wouldn’t allow her do to anything but handle it. “But the question still remains if you can or not leave me captivated, Aroon.”

Maybe it was the fact that she was being forced into meeting new people here lately that caused her to just proceed so carelessly flirt shamelessly and see what would come of it. Up till now she had her fair share of running into the opposite sex and doing just what she was doing at the moment. Aleece wondered if that was normal or not, but she was sure she could blame it on Ari…and hormones that was making her act out against her norm.

"Well, who said that you were the only one who required impressing?"

He raised an eyebrow in a light challenge, his lips curling into a wry smile at her comment before he turned his head very slightly, raising a hand to his mouth and coughing. The air was dry out, and his throat was taking a little bit of a beating from it. Shamefully, he rarely engaged in long conversation with anyone, being somewhat used to his own company and with others giving him a little bit of a wide berth, but he was sure he'd survive...

Taking another sip of the water, he set the bottle down between his crossed shins as he shot out his retort, a little slower due to his pause to hydrate, but quick off the mark nonetheless...

"Perhaps not, but unless you went to a convent, I'm sure you've seen at least a few. Besides, I'm rather...flattered, I suppose is the word. Not every day I have someone like you looking over me, after all..." he added, smirking as he carried on, not quite finished.

"However, Aleece, unfortunately I'm not one for singing and dancing. My captivation is something probably better suited to a less...open, environment?"

That would raise an eyebrow or two, and whilst he had an inkling on how it would interpreted, it was only partly true. Whilst his 'skills' might not necessarily be X-rated, they were certainly not appropriate for outside performance. Couple that with the momentary chuckle and raised eyebrow, and all sorts of insinuation was being made on the Thais part. Sometimes, an exceptional intellect was more useful than originally thought...

Aleece’s eyebrow raised slowly when he said she wasn’t the only one that needed impressing and couldn’t stop the chuckle that followed after. So this guy was easy on the eyes and smart, such a nice combination and she had yet to be proven that he was any sort of jerk that would leave her wanting to rather jump in the pond then bare his company any longer. She watched for the brief second that it took for him to take another drink before pressing on.

She felt a twinge of confusion when he did, not knowing it but more then likely showing the fact. Like any normal teenage girl, along with worrying about this or that (though she didn’t usually agonize about her hair and 'omg! Is this cherry fablicious gloss?' On a daily basis) she still had issues when it came to her own self-image. It was a rather subdued thing opting to hide it with hoodies and jeans, and if on a good day braving shorts (and the even further extent of her bravery her work out attire) But usually the gym provided a good private chance for her not to be concern so much on that particularly.

She didn’t think she was on the whole pretty and that there were girls over shadowed her with the efforts they took to doll up on a daily basis, but she realized she was no…dog. Over all, she marked herself at average. It was the only reason her head tipped to the side at his smirk, and obvious comment. He either genuinely thought she was attractive or…he was just one big bundle of hormones. Either way this guy had confidence, more then enough to spare and it brought a small grin back to her lips.

“Well regardless if that’s what it takes to hook a girl’s attention, Aroon, you might want to work on your technique of reeling them in first,” she said figuratively with her grin growing into a smile playfully.

As much as she liked the banter that was being swatted back and forth like a birdie in badminton she couldn’t help but wonder again and not for the first time what these guys did to keep get and keep in such great shape. Aleece eyed him shamelessly but briefly this time her purpose for looking not exactly on a sexual level of any kind, it was obvious he was trained in some way and wanted to pout at the thought she just didn’t have enough stamina to get to that point, or patience to even attempt stamina training.

What she did now with running and maybe playing hoops by herself was her extent…and she didn’t’ think she’d be going back to the gym any time soon in time to play a game.

ooc: Urgh, short post is short.

ic:

"If I'm honest, Aleece, short of conversation and not pawing on a girl like a hound, I really am quite straightforward."

He shrugged in admission to that statement, figuring it was hardly a confession of terrible caliber but not about to start feigning his attitude. However, he did smirk and decided to crack a small quip in conjunction, "However, apparently I don't even need to reel them in, since they just come running on by, right?", he snickered quietly and let her eye him without another remark.

A moment or so later, not wanting to let the conversation lull, he pressed on with a small smile. "So, in the spirit of being straight-forward, would you like to join me for a cup of coffee...?"

Turning slightly from where he sat, he folded his arms loosely over each other, a small tilt to his head as he waited for her response...

That smirk looked all to well placed on his face like that only adding to the appeal really…and with his comment she laughed again lightly and sat up as she did.

“Well isn’t that convenient for you then?” she quipped back with her smile a little bigger, unable to help but keep teasing. Reaching up Aleece worked her hands through her hair and sighed at herself knowing what a mess she looked. Sweaty and hot and this work out clothes real sexy…just jump your bones kinda stuff right here. She felt like a walking ad for abstinence.

Pulling the elastic holding her thick hair back out she ran her free hand through the mess and sighed as she scrapped her nails against her scalp before working to put it back up into something a little less…Medusa style. Aleece was drawn back to what he had to say though and she grinned again before looking down at herself at her...attire…and pressed her face with an amused but doubting smile.

“Well…” she started as she looked back up, “if you don’t mind your company smelling like the boys locker room…sure I could use a boost of caffeine. Haven’t had my daily dose.” ‘ and a nice shower’ Aleece added silently as her expression smoothed out again.

"Convenient, yes. Lucky, perhaps even moreso. All the same, it's a stroke of good fortune that I'm not about to argue with...."

He smirked of course, that small -almost smug- expression seeming to be the feature of choice, but it blended into a warmer smile as he watched her tussle with her hair...He believed people could say what they wanted for a pristine girl with makeup done, hair all fancy and whatnot, but the Thai couldn't deny that he preferred a 'real' looking girl above that. Makeup washes away, hair hangs loose, even clothes and jewellery could be made simpler or fancier, but the 'natural' appearance of a girl was far more appealing to the Thai.

It probably explained his current thoughts, however lustful they might be, as she drew her hair in, the soft contours of her body catching sunlight at her waist as her hands adjusted her locks.

'Good god, Aroon, calm those down.'

He blinked a few times as he came back to the real world, slowly pushing himself to his feet before reaching a hand down to assist her to her feet. He doubted that she was in any way needing the assistance, but the gesture was made nonetheless as he responded to her.

"Well, I severely doubt I smell any better, so we'll just be sweaty together--"

He almost kicked himself at the way his mind twisted that, but carried on all the same, "--ahem, shall we go then?" he finished the statement, his cheeks reddening slightly at the rather...graphic mental image he was given for that.

Despite the fact that he was no longer running, he left the shirt off. The weather was too nice, facts were facts. Besides, if she was checking him out then, then when he was at this better posture she'd clearly find something to tickle her fancy....

She watched him stand and smiled when he offered to help her up taking his had without qualm and beat back the flutter in her stomach it elicited when his obviously larger and stronger hand wrapped around hers. It was like no effort at all that he pulled her to her feet practically and she smiled a little curiously at the blush but laughed anyways she got the suggestive undertone in that comment (or that could have been totally her self that took it that way, but she doubted it from the reddening on his cheek).

“Yeah sounds good, so do you have a specific coffee place in mind? Or…am I just gonna have to be content to wait it out?” she asked. She wasn't really that familiar with Chula Vista having originally lived in La Jolla. As for her eyes they slid to the side but instead of going to his face like she intended the treacherous almost lecherous gaze lingered and dropped down to his chest.

She couldn’t have been more blatant with the ogling then if she had suddenly tackled the guy and tried to dry hump his leg or something. But damn…he looked even better standing. Blushing she didn’t exactly mean to invade his personal space but she was to inquisitive and barefaced for her own good sometimes. Aleece still hadn’t looked away, her eyes dropping to his abs then, the tightly corded muscles going up his sides making her tip her head and she suddenly had the itch to touch…

But like a window shopper she had no money for purchase. “Damn,” she said not realizing that was out loud even if muttered under her breath, and felt her head come close to exploding at the fact as her eyes went a little wide and looked up slowly. “I mean…do you work out constantly or something?”

Great, smooth…she chastised herself as she looked to the side and made sure to put a little more acceptable distance between them.

"Well, there's a couple of smaller places that do actual, decent coffee, I'm not all too fond on paying five bucks for a cup of something that's just a grade up from instant....I'm not telling you yet, though..."

He smiled, winking at her as he began to walk slowly with her, figuring that, after all, dropping half his run for a situation such as this seemed like a more than even trade. The pace was brisk but light, and he walked with his hands loosely hooked into his khaki shorts, maintaining his pace so that without having to constantly turn his head, he could shift his eyes to look at the girl walking alongside. In turn, it made it rather easy to notice the surreptitious glances she shifted.his way.

Part of him considered how brash it would be to simply proposition the girl, to make it very clear that if her glances were anything to go by that they shared a mutual....appreciation, but all the same he thought it quite fun to lead her along just a little bit more. Apparently, this was one of those things that he was doing that kept her -or at least the hormonal part of her mind-, how had she put it?

Oh, yeah. Captivated.

He nodded with a small shrug of his right shoulder, turning so he was looking at her whilst answering. "Well, yeah. I practice Muay Thai, have done for a little over ten years now...If anything came from that, it certainly instils a work ethic...Ninety minutes or so a day, six days a week, plus whatever I do for competitions."

He chuckled as he answered her, raising an eyebrow slightly as she made to move away before his palm lightly caught her elbow. Not quite holding her in place, but halting her for a moment whilst he spoke.

"I'm sorry, did I say something that offended you?" he asked, a small tilt of his head and a slightly curious gaze in his eyes.

Aleece was almost startled and the fact he even noticed her subtle correction in direction to move out of his breathing room and she opened her mouth once before closing it and smiling again rather sheepishly.

“No you didn’t say anything wrong,” she started forcing her eyes to stay where they belonged not the man steak below and quirking an eyebrow she shrugged her own shoulder put didn’t attempt to pull her elbow out of his grasp. “Its just I usually have more respect for personal space then that.”

Honestly she couldn’t stand it when people wanted to be up in her face for some reason or another without reason and she tried not to force herself on others physically because she wasn’t sure if it would make them uncomfortable or not. But apparently Aroon didn’t and she moved in again to where she originally was smiling up at him as she did.

“So six days a week ninety minutes a day for the last ten years…” she said and hummed with a nod even as her lips twitched to make her smile go larger, “that’s quite the dedication.”

And its paid off…she added silently before focusing again with a mental slap. What is it about good-looking guys that got her thoughts to wondering where they shouldn’t? Ah yes…the good looks, got her every time. Not to mention he was entirely to engaging for his own good. In retrospect this could all been done on purpose she probably should be a bit more aloof, but…eh what the hell.

"Well, if it helps clear things up, you're not invading my space in the slightest..."

His hand rested on the crook of her elbow for a few moments more as she came back around to stand where she had, and after a moments consideration he let the hand brush away with a brief sweep of his fingertips. It was easy to notice the feel of her skin, different to his for sure. His training left his fingers with that slight roughness that developed callouses took on, and were he to compare it to his elbows, feet and shins, he'd expect to find no different there. Hers, on the other hand, was soft, smooth...Oddly pleasant, even though it was just skin...

Ahead he could see the perimeter of the park, and he mentally gauged the directions he needed for the small bistro he'd opted to take Aleece. Even as he ran over those in his mind, he chuckled at her 'observation' on his regime and nodded.

"Well, after a while, it just kinda becomes the norm, y'know? I mean, half the time it's just a matter of habit, and the rest...Well, I guess it's just being a little prideful of what I've got, if I'm honest..."

No lie there, for sure. Aroon was deeply proud of his appearance, both his actual looks and his physical form, and he saw no reason to deny that. He worked damned hard to look the way he did, after all...Going by what he could garner from Aleece, her own appearance probably required a similar maintenance to his, just factored down a few times in comparison. She clearly took good care of herself, and it showed in the faint contours of her hips and waist.

"Besides, if it keeps a girl like you looking at me, then it's not just dedication, it's an obligation..." he added, grinning with the teasing comment as he shifted his eyes to look over at her.

"Well, if it helps clear things up, you're not invading my space in the slightest..."

Aleece smiled a little bit more looked ahead of her and held off a shiver when his work calloused fingers swept across the smooth skin of her arm, making the difference between the to unavoidably noticeable, but she couldn’t stop that her smile turned into a grin as she looked back at him. “I’ll keep that in mind then,” she said a little quieter then she intended and continued to listen as he went on.

It made sense that he would be proud of his physique, enjoying the fruits of his training in not only the sense that he was obviously strong but it sculpted his body in a more then pleasing eye catching way. She didn’t feel like she was on any level close to what Aroon did it was a painstaking chore at best to run every day especially on the nights where she preferred to be up all night instead of resting, she had a secret addiction to sweets and the double cheeseburger.

Needlessly to say…she was body conscious at the best of times, her bad habits keeping her from really getting in shape like she would prefer, but it just wasn’t one of her top priorities.

So Aleece really didn’t see if this guy was being genuine what appeal he really saw, but she didn’t say anything and chalked it up to her amiable attitude and open disposition that kept him interested the most at the moment. Of course the fact they both seem to appreciate running a bit of the same things helped as well…

“Well said then, because I would expected that you worked out to look like that just for my personal enjoyment,” she teased back lightly knowing that he didn’t but the moment to goad him unable to pass up.

He shot a glance, raising an eyebrow before a grin crept onto his lips. It might be a cheap plan, considering he already had an idea of her reaction, but all the same....

"Well, maybe not just for your enjoyment, but you're more than welcome to enjoy your fair share...."

As he spoke the words, he spun in his stride, turning on a heel to walk backwards as he firmly drew his muscles taut, the accentuated contours of his arms, chest and abdominals much clearer. Adding in a little 'pose', bringing his arms up, he smirked a cocky little smile and turned to do the same from the back, the trim of muscle across his shoulders and neck a little more evident with the flex and accented by the sunlight.

'If you want to play, Aleece, I'll play dirty...' he thought, mentally chuckling at her possible reaction before, without so much as a quip or retort, he slipped back into his normal stride, taking a glance to make sure she was at his side as she had been before, and to see whatever expression her visage had taken after his slightly more....blatant attack of her hormones.

"Was that enough to satisfy your 'enjoyment' for the time being, then?"

Raising an eyebrow with a wry grin, he kept his eyes on her as they walked...

This guy was amusing and she was sure (if she hadn’t been before) that he didn’t lack an ounce of confidence but she could see why, when he started walking backwards, drawing himself out to tighten his muscles and...show off just what her eyes could enjoy. Biting her bottom lip lightly she smirked when he posed…and laughed lightly her head cocking at the smirk he sent her way.

He sure was playing a nice game, showing off nicely for her delight apparently. Oh, and take pleasure in the little show she did…It was a little hard to believe a guy like this actually existed but then again maybe she just didn’t get out enough, because there was one live fantasy standing right in front of her.

Aleeve gave a little clap at the “show” and smiled as she kept an eye on him when he resumed his spot next to her, her pace still the same as it had been before.

“Maybe,” she answered dimming her smile a bit in favor of looking mockingly uncertain at his question. “I might have to get a better look later.”

With that a lazy half turn of her lips came back but she wasn’t looking at him but to the front. Aleece might have been treading on some pretty thin ice where her scruples rested but this was fun, she liked being pushed and pushing back, mentally. Seeing how much she could take before needing to step back. Probably with the flirting she would more then likely just come across as a tease, but at the moment…she was going head long.

He let a hint of smugness roll over him at the bitten lip and her slight glance away, knowing he'd successfully gotten the reaction he'd gone for. He was tempted for a moment to take a little bow when she clapped, but after a seconds consideration opted against it. He'd displayed just enough arrogance, no point in milking it any further than was needed for the moment.

A single chuckle of laughter left his lips as a half-smirk lined his lips, and he turned his head and traversed his eyes in a single, slightly lingering sweep of her body. Looking back ahead, he didn't speak for a couple of seconds.

"I'd have to say the same to you...."

Smiling, giving a momentary flick of his eyes to the side, he walked with that smirk and his eyes forward. Perhaps it was the sort of thing seen in a cheesy film or a teen drama, but sometimes shameless flirting could apparently just occur from nowhere. Otherwise, what exactly would one call what the exchanges with Aleece had been? The cogs in his head rolled slightly at that, a few notions appearing and disappearing with a regular flow. Leaving his thoughts alone for a moment, he glanced down the street...It was a block or two away still, but he could see the patio for the coffee house he'd been approaching.

"It's just up here, see there with the awning, and the tables?"

Perhaps a little tame in comparison to their current conversation, but he had invited her company to join him, and he didn't want to have her wonder if they would just wander around for another half hour talking in innuendo and insinuation. Besides, he was getting rather parched, having tossed the empty water bottle away a little while back.
