Aaron waits a couple seconds so it's not too abrupt, then hangs up!
Half an hour later, when Savaak comes to the front of the pods, Aaron is already there, leaning against the wall and looking at his phone. He looks like he's tried to clean himself up a bit, and he's dressed up; not enough to be stuffy, but obviously trying to look good. His expression is serious, thoughtful, but not as broken and distraught as Savaak's seen him before.
Savaak arrives when she says she would! Her usual smile is in place, the beads on her top reflecting as they catch the light. She looks like she's ready for spring to commit, a light jacket worn over her light blue blouse and white skirt. Despite the chill, she doesn't seem cold, and her expression warms at the sight of Aaron making an effort. It's reassuring, though there's a small warning in the back of her mind about tonight.
Aaron notices the reflecting light in his peripheral vision before he hears her speak, because some of the light is reflected onto his face! He blinks in surprise and puts away the phone before he turns to acknowledge her, wiping away the serious look as abruptly but not as violently as those shadowy lovers he made before his drug trip.
"Hey, glad to see you too," he says, managing a smile. Not as bright as hers, but it's there at least, as he smooths down his own outfit. He's got the same watch as ever on his wrist, but for once the blazer is different. "Ready to go, then? You look nice."
Well, better than nice, but still. He doesn't know what she's okay with him saying, among other things.
Aaron would kill for the ability never to have down days, even more than Eric's or Rath's power. This has been a whole month of nothing but.
If she looked closely enough in the brief period it was visible to her, she might've seen an old text message conversation on the phone's screen, that he was obviously reading. Still, he keeps up the smile and manages to answer her question easily enough.
"I think I'll keep it a surprise," he says. "You'll like this place - they've got a bit of everything. I'll drive."
After a moment's hesitation, he offers his arm, and once she either takes it or doesn't he'll lead the way to the parking lot, where she'll find his car! Fifteen, sixteen years ago the vehicle would've looked super futuristic and ostentatious, but the sleek, black car is still visibly nice. He'll head over to open the passenger side door and let her in!

Okay, Savaak's nosy enough to notice, but she doesn't press. It seems to only eat at him more, especially with his current smile.
"I like it already." She chuckles, enjoying the fact that he was willing to surprise her. To her, it was clear by this point that his "just spending time together" was more along the lines of a date. Any other observations on his appearance are kept to herself.
She takes his arm and lets him lead her to the car! She doesn't mention Wilbur, giving the truck a single glance to make sure it's doing okay before they come to Aaron's much newer sports model. That, for sure, has her attention, and her bright blue eyes have an appreciative gaze as she takes it in. Imagine all the fun you could have in that.
"Very nice." She slides into the car with with grace, taking in the interior's design, as well.
Because she doesn't press, he doesn't know she saw him reading the chatlog! He does hear the compliment, though, obviously, and his smile gets a touch warmer.
"Thanks. I'm glad you like it," he says, settling into the driver's seat while she examines the interior. It's plush, arguably even fancy, with dark leather seats that're easily adjustable and very very comfortable, plenty of legroom, and a state of the art entertainment system. After buckling in, Aaron puts the keys in the ignition and starts the car, which comes to life not with the roar of a petrol engine but a low, powerful humming noise - ah, modern automotive technology! All the power, none of the environmental damage.
"You can pick the station if you want," he says as the radio starts up with the rest of the car, playing an NPR report on the fighting in Syria. Something they'd set this up to get their mind away from. Whatever she picks, he's fine with it, as he waits for her to buckle in then drives off!
Dillon didn't have many things so it was easy to move into her Pod.
Paw wasn't around so she even had a shadow, looking totally normal. Other than the fact that she hadn't slept in a few days, her almost-white hair was plastered to her cheeks, and her eyes were glassed over. But, hey, for Dillon...
