Mathew had summoned Silas, Angel, and Eliott to meet him out front in the main part of the campus grounds. His arms were folded over his chest and a sour expression covered his face, as was usual. It was time for this little team to reap the fruits of it's labors.
"Congratulations, you all managed to find your way here without getting lost. As sad as it may sound. That's progress for you lot."
He rolled his eyes.
"Out of the three of you, two of you have already failed and brought down a punishment to your team. Who wants to guess which one of you is the best and brightest of the bunch?"
Silas glances Angel's direction when he mentions his name. Guess the kid wasn't that dumb after all.
However, he says nothing. Mathew already made it clear to him what he thought so he doesn't bother arguing in front of the others. Best not to point out that Mathew was wrong in front of people as that would antagonize him.
"Eliott here is the best and brightest of you lot. And the only one not to end up in trouble. Or failing to beat me in a challenge. I think both of you should reflect on that for a moment, and what she does right that you both lack."
"Your skills have earned you a small boon Eliott."
The ground would lock their feet and shift them so that Eliott was on the left, Angel is on the right, and Silas in the in the middle. Each of Silas's feet melding with the stone covering the closest leg of each partner.
"You don't have to be in the middle."
The excess stone would fall away leaving the three of them bound. One leg each to Silas.
"I think what you all need is some time together to learn to be a team."

"My vote is not getting stuck in a possibly even more awkward situation with you both!" Eliott raises her voice!
"I don't know what he wants us to do, but maybe we should just ace his test so we can forget this ever happened! And then maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'LL NEVER HAVE TO BE STUCK WITH YOU AGAIN!"
Almost as an afterthought.
"OH YEAH, HERE YOU GO BY THE WAY!"
She's not actually angry she's just still screaming as she holds out the escrima to him.
