Her attempt would be to get into the child's mind, to find the happy memories of her parents, and to bring those to the surface. In particular, she was looking for any time one of her parents may have tucked her into bed or read her a story. And gently, she would try to calm the crying girl to a light sleep, humming an old lullaby she knew. She tried to calm the crying girl, get her to calm down. She looked for a lullaby someone might have sung her once upon a time. If she could find one, she would start humming it, instead. He also never wrote up reports...he relied on the fact that Jack was usually too busy to notice.
