Name: Eliott Knight Nickname(s): Ellie, Elle Age: 15 Gender: Female Nationality: American Ethnicity: English, Dutch, Japanese Height: 5’1” Weight: 98lbs Religious Beliefs: Nothing Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual (possibly Technosexual) Appearance:
Eliott doesn't fancy herself fashionable or anything extraordinary. She's an average girl, with plain brown hair and unremarkable brown eyes. In fact, she doesn't really radiate any kind of appeal with her serious to irritated expression. It's easy for her to fall back into the background which is just how she likes it.
Personality: Eliott is a bit stuffy and irritable when it comes to her things. She doesn't like people touching her inventions without her permission as she expects those of lesser...intellect...to mess it up. And they totally would. Her creations are forever in beta mode and there's always the very real chance they'll collapse or implode.
She can be a bit judgmental of people based on first impressions, and her social skills are sometimes lacking in terms of what's rude and "wow you totally can't say that to people". Still, in most cases she means well, especially when she's trying to be friendly. It just doesn't come easily to her. On the complete opposite side, insulting or putting down other people is almost too simple.
She has incredible pride in her work, very much on narcissistic levels and all her creations are treated like they are her precious babies. So don't break them or you'll never hear the end of it. In fact, don't even look at them.
Interests: Machines, electronics, technology, engineering, reading, tinkering, explosives, crafts, sewing, games, generally anything that involves “making or creating” something.
Skills:
Engineer: Eliott uses the application of scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to invent, design, build, maintain, and improve structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. Because Wikipedia said so.
Precision: Eliott, though sometimes a bit rash, is surprisingly steady and precise. One wrong move could mean injuring herself or destroying her hard work and she’s learned to be very precise with small details. It doesn’t do much for trying to throw things though. No sick, game winning goals for her. She does however do a good job building whatever it is she’s making.
Techno wiz: She’s quite the prodigy. As long as the process has been invented, and someone either shows her, or she reads instructions, Eliott can probably do it. She’s limited only by level of difficulty and the extent of her understanding of the subject.
Abilities/Powers: Magnekinesis- Natural: (Low level) The user can control and manipulate magnetism in all its forms both natural and artificial. Eliott is capable of short bursts when dealing with larger objects, but cannot continuously hold up anything too heavy (for example a car).
She can both attract or repel metal.
Eliott can also use the ability for electronic disruption in a tiny area. So essentially just the device she's dealing with. History: Eliott was born a test tube baby to two loving mothers, Heather Faye and Julie Knight. Life with two mothers was pretty ordinary for her, and they both encouraged her early on to explore her creative side. Heather worked as an illustrator and web designer and Julie was a contractor and a pretty adept handy-woman. Their influence quickly developed Eliott's interest in tinkering and creating, and both of them were always very interested in the inventions Eliott would cook up.
What they didn't know what that by age 3, Eliott would have already discovered her powers, aiding her in all her building endeavors.
Eliott was quite capable without her powers, though. And very, very smart. Simple creations with Legos would suddenly become far more complex (at least for someone her age) and it was clear that Eliott's tinkering was more than a hobby. It was a real talent. A talent they nurtured to the best of their abilities.
Eliott would go on to attend a lot of things that would help her improve. Space camp, science fairs, and all sorts of classes that could broaden her knowledge about engineering. And she very much excelled at them. Her parents were incredibly proud of her, but perhaps a little too proud. Their constant encouragement and compliments weren't a bad thing, per se, but Eliott's inflated ego was, and that was helping. As an only child, she could swallow up all the glory and praise from her parents and to say she was spoiled rotten would be an understatement.
As such, Eliott would find herself having trouble connecting with other kids at school. Her teachers would say she was a bit shy, but the truth was she just didn't want to interact with other kids. She was much happier on her own. Unfortunately, she also wasn't good at sharing, having never had to do so before and Eliott would react negatively to other kids touching something she deemed was hers.
This trend would carry on even as she got older. Eliott had very few friends as most people didn't have the patience to get to know her. The ones who did remain noted that while she was still stoic and strict, she wasn't nearly as difficult to interact with. In fact she was passionate about what she did and could even get a bit excited when showing it off. But these connections took time and a lot of just listening.
That is until she was made to join Paradigm by her parents at 11. Their intention was only to have her learn to control her "gift" but Eliott found it a waste. If she was going to be part of Paradigm, she was going to be integral. She was going to be important.
Now that she was finally the right age to start as a Junior Agent, she would prove to everyone she had the brains and ability it took to be out on the field.
