Mark dresses similarly to how his father did in high school, opting for muscle shirts and jeans most of the time. Of course, this is typically appropriate for him considering he spends most of his time training.
Personality: Both of Mark's parents are incredibly serious, and as a result, he's grown into a somewhat reserved young man. However, he has also inherited his father's sense of pride, though it doesn't quite border on the same level of arrogance. Overall, Mark is something of a loner, and while he has no intentions of offending people most of the time, he hasn't exactly learned the best of manners, either.
Interests: Training, studying weapons, reading.
Skills: Proficient with various melee weaponry, most notably, a chain with a large hook on the end. Half-decent shot with pistols and rifles, though not anywhere near at a marksman level.
Abilities/Powers: Bone Manipulation - Mark is able to increase the density and structure of his bones. Typically, this involves growing small spikes from his knuckles, or creating bone armor around his arms and legs in order to fight in melee combat. This power also results in minor regeneration, as his body is used to repairing itself from his bones tearing through his skin to protrude or being removed.
History: Born to Adam Rydell and Pan Yi Xiao, Mark had what was not usually considered a typical childhood. Both were eager to begin their child's training from a very young age, and thankfully, Mark's mother Pan would take care of his education from the very beginning until he was old enough to go to school.
It was a disaster.
Mark quickly became involved in a great deal of fights between himself and other students, ones who found him rude and thought he was making fun of them. His teachers would often have a hard time getting through to him, as he simply refused to pay attention to things that didn't interest him. When his apparently disrespectful attitude was brought up with his parents, Pan would seem disinterested while his father would simply smirk, proclaiming how proud he was that his son wasn't "weak."
As a result, Mark would end up being home schooled by several different private tutors, each being replaced quickly each time by another tutor. Close to his fifteenth birthday, Mark would discover his power accidentally, like many others, destroying his punching bag with bone protrusions from his knuckles. His parents were not pleased that they would have to send their son to Paradigm to learn his power, but accepted the reality of the situation.
Mark would need to learn to use his power effectively if he was to survive in this world.
