Ehhh, a little yes, a little no. He didn't come here to unload more of his stupid personal BS on the Director, but maybe he's someone who has a hard time not spilling when someone offers to listen. And maybe, despite his anger at Jack before, he still sees the man as kind of a mentor, someone to go to.
"Anyway," he says after a moment of silence. "I've got to worry about the war before any of that now. Protecting people from the big bad Empire and all that. Guess I've just got a couple things left to ask."
"I was talking to Agent Young about my training, and she invited me along when she next goes out. She wants me to talk to my folks first, but if I go, do you have any advice for me? It's not like I'm trying out for her team or anything, but obviously she'll be up against things I'm not used to."
And there's a non-zero chance of people like Chazz showing up. In which case her own advice to him had been "get the hell out of there" basically.
He'd thought about it, and Sarah might be happy if he did, but that's the coward's way out. And he couldn't do that to his family, or to the poor bastard who inevitably found him, not to mention the very thought of doing it is horrifying. Whatever else you can say about Aaron, he's not a coward. Too many people need him out here, doing whatever he can to protect them, for him to give up.
"Dunno when I'd come back, and I'm sure as hell gonna try to be one of the first people into Turkey when the time comes for that, but when the dust settles a little, do you think we could do some more lessons? I'm still doing that exercise every day - twice, now - but I feel like I've been stuck for a bit."
He's starting to think that, like his muscles, his power reserves need a recovery day where he takes it easy on the exercise.
Aaron doesn't think he does, it's sort of a "the Lannisters send their regards" deal. Though of course, if they get to that point Sarah's the one who should get to land the final blow. And isn't it more the proper thing to do to arrest him? But then, he doubts the Vault could hold Clavish - he'd kill himself the first chance he gets and just respawn elsewhere, and they'd have to do the whole hunt over again.
"I should go get ready. Thanks again for all this."
He offers his hand! Hopefully a handshake isn't too much.
