...Yeah, I still exist. I've been doing a lot of things lately is all. From going places (like conventions, which equates to pictures), voice acting for a bunch of projects (more details here), to drawing stuff, to what have you. I haven't forgotten this place though, so I felt I kinda needed to show a few pieces of evidence examples of what I've been up to. This whole thread? Photography, voice acting, and artwork + whatever else.

I didn't take this picture, but it's a picture of my TF2 BLU scout cosplay that I wore to Anime Expo '09 (which I still need to upload pictures of). There're like a bajillion of TF2 cosplay pictures on TF2chan if you want to look them up, since I'm in quite a few group shots (most of them while I was RED).


I took this picture though and it's my favorite one, so it's the only one I uploaded...


As some people are aware, I participated in AX Idol. I didn't make it into finals, but the judges liked me enough to include me in the "Here's the tough competition!" montage.



[02:32] Yes, the scrawny BLU scoot without her hat and headset is me. I believe that the extent of one's achievements isn't measured in a single event, so you bet that I'm still working on my voice acting. My most recent success aside from LEFT4LOL (Zoey) and Smashtasm (Princess H)? Getting cast in an XBOX 360 game. I can't say too much about it due to non-disclosure policies, but I'm pretty excited.

Tegaki = 1 Layer

I used to avoid using color like the plague until I tegaki'd (which is basically an art blog). Since I hang out with a bunch of talented artists (both tegaki and flash artists), I've found that my art skills have been increasing exponentially the more I practice. Here're my most recent works.

Very, very cool. I haven't really seen that art style before, but I like it.

Are you able to say whether it's going to be an Xbox Arcade game, or one that comes on disc?

You probably saw the style develop slowly out of my semi-anime styled doodles on Hircine. For the longest while I thought I was a "broken" artist since I couldn't framework for crap (the seemingly only way I could draw was eyes first and it messed up my "artistic foresight") until one of my friends said that there're artists out there who can do it extremely well (Brian Froud). Since then, I've been embracing my style as my own and polishing it.

The most I can say about the game is that it will be a 2 player co-op action RPG for the XBOX 360's download service, Community / Indie Games, slated to be released later this year. I've seen one of the WIP screenshots and it looks good~ I'll let you know when it's released~

...So at 4 AM, after 2 hours of tossing and turning, I thought: "Could I make a demo using everything I already recorded for finished projects, auditions, and practice?" 3 hours later, this was made.

Is this a fitting representation of my acting/vocal range and my strengths? I can't be the judge of that. Alright mixing? Hell no. I hate my mixing. Will this be my "official" demo to show to potential employers? Are you kidding me? Overall, it's SOMETHING so I can finally stop stressing out (and losing even more sleep--Before you ask, no, I didn't sleep). You bet that I'm gonna keep working on a more presentable demo. Hopefully it'll be done before school starts.

AVA = Amateur Voice Acting... Or "Aspiring" if you want to be optimistic.

At least I can show a fraction of my range without relying on the Brawl Range Reel now.

AVA = Amateur Voice Aspiring ... I'm optimistic, and retarded.

The demo is alright and you show some of the different voices you can make, but the area around 1 minute. I don't like that "Round one, fight." voice. But overall, I think you can use this if you tinker some more with it. (You did say you would work with it, right?).

=P Not sure if you were being snide or I'm misinterpreting things, but the optimistic way of seeing it is Aspiring Voice Actor as opposed to Amateur Voice Acting... Or Amateur Voice Aspiring.

This was mixed with Audacity and Wavepad; Very low-budget post processing. It has peaking (some people heard it in the fighting game announcer voice) I can't edit out and the noise reduction that was used on final takes (for projects or auditions) is rubbish. This demo can replace my past yucky demos and sorta show what I can do, but this can only work in the amateur circuit. My idea of a quality demo ain't this one, that's for sure--Not a thing near industry standard, if you ask me.

...I can go on for hours about how this isn't a professional demo. I really, really hate my mixing.

Thus why I commissioned a friend of mine to help me out with my professional character demo since she knows how to work Adobe Audition 3 better than I can. As opposed to crap noise reduction, the raw files will sound so much better after using proper filters and processing.

The joke was that aspiring could replace both amateur and actor (they all start with an a!). And we both know that Amateur Voice Aspiring isn't the correct one :P

And quite sad that you lack the programs and gear to make it sound pro. But should you get a real pro-version out, feel free to share it with us. :)

This got released a few days ago, but I'm posting this now 'cause it was featured on the front page of VG Cats~ My role was Jubilee~ "Watch out, villains! I've got RAZZLE-DAZZLE!"

XD By the way, if you listen closely, you'll spot other XIN cast members in the cast, like Edwyn Tiong (Legend and Dom --> Leo, Krug, The Blob and Leonardo the 2nd), Rina-chan (Silvia --> Padme), Tamtu Bui (Xin and Ghai --> General Grevious and Cyclops), and Lucien Dodge (Kiz and Goth --> Palpatine)~

[EDIT]: And whoa, the picture DID update on its own!

My friend, who's also a member of the cast, googled the XBOX 360 game we're in and found a video of the alpha build!

To clarify, no, Ryete (the cat girl) isn't my character. I'll let you guys know who I'm voicing when I'm allowed to~

As a heads up, expect one or two hours to pass by before completing it and thank goodness for video walkthroughs for the parts where a certain one or two key items blend too much into the background.

My "Talk Like a Pirate Day" Voice Acting Contest entry on Newgrounds. If I don't win and get teh monies (which is likely considering the awesome quality of some of the submissions), I hope to at least get this animated. I'm more than sure that this entry hurt your ears as much as it hurts my throat.

A doodle I did in screenwriting class--Done not out of boredom, but because I wanted to do something creative in that class after seeing the neat things screenwriting can be applied to~



=P By the way, I have an AA degree now, all officialized on paper~ And my field trips this year, due to my major, consist of going to the tapings of television shows and films. I guarantee you that I probably won't be able to snap pictures of those, but just a heads up that yeah, I leave this forum a lot... Which would make posting in the farewell thread an endless spam of spammington from me if I used it as often as I "should".

That's right, a year. Several recasts were had, time got in the way, and other things like that. And in the middle of all that, I got a technological overhaul and was finally able to finish this to stop fretting about it as I record for or produce other projects. I can spot a few flaws here and there since this was my first REAL attempt using Sony Vegas and Adobe Audition 3, but I wouldn't know how to fix them at the moment. Anyways, I did this project because it's my favorite manga from the site and I figured it'd be fun/interesting for the cast to perform for~

Yup, I do casting/directing/producing/adapting too. Yay for picking up a ton of skillz!

XD If Leesa decides to animate something for the board one day, I can cast/direct/produce for it if she wants. Ta-daa~?
