"Ah well, I've been dealing with it. I have a few methods that I learned in previous therapy sessions that really help me out with clearing my mind. I guess with it being so jarring, its a bit harder, though. Sometimes its like I still feel it and I find that annoying to say the least."
He bites in lip, a little anxious.
"I guess it's just part of the job, but the fact that I got shot in the first place is pretty dumb, considering how it happened."
"Yeah, Rebecca something. Don't really want to rat on her or anything, but seriously; only shoot a gun if you jbow what you're doing. I could've died!"
"And are you still upset about it? And upset with her?"
She could imagine that if his memory worked in such a way that the pain of the injury stuck with him like that, maybe it was difficult to let go of his feelings on something, too.
"I don't really know her, but I'm definitely not happy with her choices in the matter, considering. I guess if I saw her now I wouldn't really be happy about it, you know?"
It wasn't a sanctioned assignment or anything and they were all thrust into it, so he could reason with the idea that they were all amateurs at this, including him.
"Well it sounds like you're a very understanding person."
Absinthe offers him a smile.
"I'm just going to stop you right there for a moment, if that's alright. I couldn't help but notice you appear a bit anxious. You're tapping your fingers, biting your lip...could you tell me why?"
"Uhh, I'm just not used to these formal and intimate types of conversations. I don't normally talk so much about myself, let alone what's bothering me."
"That tea will probably help. And I don't know what else really. Maybe time? I know this is part of being an agent so I'm just trying to ease myself into it, like with everything around here."
"Alright, then. Let me just go over what we talked about. You're a bit upset about what happened, and a little bit with Rebecca. With your memory, the injury is still quite fresh in your mind which you said felt annoying."
She nods a bit.
"In your opinion, will this cause any trouble with your ability to work with Rebecca, again?"
Murdoch takes a moment to think about it before responding.
"I'm not sure. I'll probably be more concerned with her wielding a firearm than other people, but I also feel like this was just one of those rookie mistakes."
