He'd open up a portal and pull out a normal ball point pen. "So, we place our coin in an open palm facing the viewer. And then we make a fist over it." He'd do so. "So what I'm going to do is tap the hand with the pen three times and the coin will disappear!" With large arm motions Eric tapped the hand once with the pen, on the second go the pen was gone, and on the third the pen was still gone. He would open the hand to show the coin was still there. "So what I did here is I am creating the distraction with the dramatic arm motions. Most people will focus on the coin hand to make sure I don't do anything funny." He'd turn and show Nanners where the pen was. "I tell them I made a mistake and the pen has vanished, but not to worry I always keep a spare. At that point I flourish my empty hand and pull it back out from behind my ear. This is when I subtly stick the coin into my pocket before doing the trick again. Lo and behold it has vanished."
