Sitting nice and proper at a picnic table was Fredegund enjoying her tea. Around the picnic table were some of her new crow and raven acquaintances, some being more well-behaved than others to humor this peculiar metahuman. One daintily removing the lemon slice from the teacup, another already spilling some tea onto the saucer, more interested in the snacks in her basket than formalities.
She sips her tea, taking no offense.
"It's such a nice autumn day."
Some cawing. It's not so bad. The impatient crow wants snacks.
"In a bit. Let's wait a little longer in case anyone else wants to join us. Please leave a setting open for now."
Fi was giggling as she chased the butterfly across the campus.
"Come back!" She called out at it laughing. "You haven't told me what you want to show me! Why do you want me to follow you?"
It was an adventure. And it would lead right to Fred as the butterfly landed on the tea pot, basking it's wings in the sun. Fiona showing up only moments later. Gasping in surprise and delight!
The polite raven bows its head, recognizing the gesture as a sign of respect from seeing Fred doing it earlier. The impatient crow caws. Not angrily, but in acknowledgement.
"Shall I pour you a fresh cup of tea?"
She wasn't sure if she should disturb the butterfly. She's yet to understand them as well as animals.
The tea set is very ornate, with pink flowers on white.
Fred smiles as she gets up from her seat and carefully balances the butterfly on the teapot. She'd walk around the table to move one of the cleaner teacups and saucers over, then nimbly pour a cup.
"It's peppermint tea. Fresh, slightly sweet, and can ease an upset stomach. No caffeine too."
The polite raven looks at its tea cup, unsure if it should drink it. The impatient crow sidesteps closer to the picnic basket to take a peek at its contents.
As Fredegund heads back to her seat with the pot, she follows Fiona's gaze. Looking saucer more than anything. Huh.
"It's no problem at all! I wasn't expecting a human guest, but funny how that worked out. And now that we're all here, time to dispense some snacks."
She reaches into her basket to bring out a covered bowl. She removes the lid revealing shelled, unsalted peanuts. The impatient crow caws in excitement, flapping its wings!
Fred uses a spoon to scoop a plateful of peanuts for the polite raven, an extra heaping for the now patient-enough crow (whom devours the nuts as soon as she scoops them out), a plateful for Fiona, leaving a small portion for herself.
The polite raven picks up the nuts and gulps them down.
