Aaron applies shadows to the ankles and wrists of all three men as they lie down, so they can't pull anything and can be searched! He's searching the two men who Taner hasn't yet.
"I'm sorry about your friends. I didn't want anybody to die here."
[COMM]: "You guys thinking a trap? And Bee, you okay over there?"
"Taner, he said his friends disarmed around the corner. I can watch 'em if you want to grab their gear."
It would let what just happened settle in a bit, anyway, and besides, this was a good way to restrain people. He is curious, though, so he gets the suited guy's attention.
"And if you just wanted to talk, there's ways to do it other than taking over a warehouse district and challenging us to do something about it. You could have said you just wanted to talk."
He sighs, trying to keep the heat out of his voice.
It is indeed an awkward conversation from the ground! Aaron was going to say something else when the 'neither did we' reminds him of the grenade thing, how he just accidentally vaporised... well, almost all of these people. And most of the area they'd been fighting in. Kieran can see him pause and the remorseful look in his eyes.
"I'm Aaron. We're going to take you back to the Academy so we can talk; as long as you don't try anything, nobody's going to get hurt, okay?"
But through the guilt of all those men he just wiped off the face of the earth, something still doesn't seem right about all this. Maybe Kieran really was surrendering, maybe he really did just want to talk, but... why all this, then? They could have sent an ambassador, or hell, a phone call.
Though there was one way. Aaron looks to Evie, remembering what he's heard of her power.
