It's less about black and white or actual sides, and more "welp, I'm not really being given a choice here." But then, what could he say to that thing? 'No'?
"I'll catch up with you guys, just checking on her. Fiona, can you hear me?"
If she gets up to follow Savaak, Aaron will too! Even though he has an increasingly bad feeling about all this.
Well that's unsettling. Savaak nods at Aaron's leave and continues leading the Genomorph to the tech building he mentioned! She looks around to make sure there's not going to be an issue or obstacles in their way, but Morphie's focus is obviously on his little bro.
She supposes it depends on the geno's condition, whatever's left of them.
She stumbles toward where the voice is drawing her, her limbs moving as if being pulled along on strings. Shambling almost aimlessly toward her destination.
She continues to mutter the words, her glazed eyes moving at random as she slowly stumbles toward the jar. Her right hand tentatively reaching out for the jar.
"They're telepaths. They can take you over by touching you, control your actions; they attacked us by taking over the bodies of dead metas," dead children, "and using their abilities to try to kill us. Couple of us got possessed, too."
The basement was burnt into his memory, so it's not hard for him to bring it all up. And being blunt about it lets him try to keep his nerves under control, try not to dwell on the guilt of slaughtering sentient beings. He'd not known, but that's not really an excuse.
"I'm not sure that's a good idea. We're trying to keep it - him? - looked after."
And, you know, stop it from taking over other people. Aaron takes a step towards Fiona, but doesn't try to physically stop her, keeping his eyes on the geno's big brother.
Fiona turns to face the Genomorph and the Geno with both arms down and in front. Her left hand clasping her right wrist. She slowly tilts her head and smiles through the glazed expression on her face.
Savaak gets a good look at the eerie expression on Fiona's face, then looks over to the geno as it is reunited with its brother, watching. Part of her is glad that they're together, but there's a chance that the geno could, like its brother, learn to something other than hostile towards them.
Well, except for Aaron, maybe. No one else seems to be in the room with the five of them.
"He was hurt in the fight at the wayward home; he was controlling dead metahumans to try to kill us. I'm sorry he got hurt; we were defending ourselves, and now we're trying to take care of him."
"He" had tried to make Aaron kill Eric. But knowing the geno's probably a sentient being, might possibly be just another victim of CLAW, makes him feel guilty. Not to mention, let's try to keep this thing from going on a killer TK rampage.
He's not sure if the Genomorph meant Fiona, but she answered its question, so he thought it was okay to tell it about the geno. He still looks to Fiona to see if she's doing okay, though.
Savaak listens and remains at the ready, since she wasn't at the raid herself. A fractured mind sounded terrible. So did the ideas that came with what might need to happen to mend it.
She just hoped it was fractured during the fight and not while in Paridigm's custody.
Like hell he's telling this thing Fred shot it, though.
"He got hurt in the crossfire. We didn't know what we were fighting, that the creatures CLAW sent against us were your brothers. On behalf of Paradigm, I'm sorry; we're going to try to make sure he recovers, and we learn all we can so we can stop what CLAW is doing."
That doesn't sound good. Savaak shakes her head and tries to intervene before Genomorph loses it.
"Regardless of who did it and deserves revenge for your brother, the important thing is healing him. Do you know what we can do to help with that?" She addresses the angry pokemon directly!
She sees the geno raised in a test tube, imprinted to do the task Aaron described. She also sees the viewpoint of the geno, Aaron killing a few of them before trapping him in a shadow!
You will not touch him!
Small objects get blown back around Savaak and Aaron!
