The figure moves towards him, igniting a whip that seems to be made of a red light. Fi gets a vision of the suited figure they're pursuing assassinating Italian military! The girls both see the suited figure burst into the cells and start manhandling the guards within, apparently easily overpowering them and throwing them into the wall! This guy should be getting mobbed by agents right now. Mainly, though, that's a distraction from the pain, as he cries out and tries not to fall to a knee, yanking out the bits of shrapnel now that he's not being attacked! Turning and positioning himself so he can see both threats, he brings up the man's shadow again while he's in mid-step, going for a shadow suplex! That red light is bad news. Enya sees that the downed guards had handguns! Aaron forces the figure's shadow up, and as it goes for the suplex, the figure cuts the shadow in half with the whip, before swinging it towards Aaron! Then standing still at the sight of the gun being leveled at it. After a second, it slowly moves its foot over the neck of one of the downed guards. "Put the gun down." For Aaron's part, as the figure starts to swing he jumps backwards as hard and far as he can! He wraps a shadow around his midsection, gently enough not to upset the rib, and sends a tendril out to stab into something solid a good distance away and pull him towards it until he is out of range of the whip before setting back down! Then he'll try to form the shadow around his attacker's foot into a dome and shoot a spike into a gap in the armour near the ankle, aiming to immobilise. However, Enya's firing manages to knock it back, as two bullets slam into its chest. Unfortunately, the third one catches Fi in the back of the leg. Aaron drives a spike into the armored figure's heel, causing it to fall to one knee, before swinging again, towards Aaron's legs! There's a whining sound, like something charging. Then he does a similar trick while the figure is still in mid swing, aiming to drive a spike through the elbow of his weapon arm! ...Sorry, but you are trying to kill me. Can he pinpoint anything in particular that looks like it's charging up or building energy? Or that in general looks like where the whining is coming from? As it reaches down for her, it suddenly starts convulsing, putting its hands over its helmet. Aaron's able to save himself, but as he creates the second shadow, he hears a sudden discharge of energy come from the side, where the jetpack had been lying on the ground. Yellow light washes over him, and his entire body lights up in horrible, gut wrenching pain, more than he's ever experienced in his life. It's enough to knock him unconscious. If it doesn't work, though, he lets out a shriek of pain anyone reasonably close to the courtyard would be able to hear and slumps, using the last of his energy to try to land well away from the flames.
