BK feathered his hands over the guitar, running his palm along the edge. He'd bought it with what remained of his funds, the acoustic feel being prevalent to his attitude these days. The motel he'd found himself in was just shitty as all the ones he stayed in while he fought in war-torn Europe. The door, still open behind him, led out into the hallway where several of his peers resided.
He sat on his bed- one of two in this shithole- and would start to play, singing a little with the music.
HE didn't hate the people here, just the circumstance. Two to a room? Fuck that. BK wasn't a terribly whiny guy, so he didn't say anything. But he liked his privacy and staying in a room with one other just wouldn't give him that. So...he was stuck enjoying what few creature comforts the large male could, when he could.
"Hmm....hmmmmmm...."
He would try to play gentle, trying hard not to wake any afternoon nappers....letting out a sigh, he stopped, nearly done, and stuck the instrument back in his case.
"Should have stayed with the Parralel's fifth division. Least I had my own quarters...."
Polly walked in unannounced, stopping at the door when she saw some dude playing a guitar. She'd nod her head with the song a little, and when he was finished she'd give him a polite amount of clapping.
"Not bad, next do Wonderwall." She teased before shutting the door and tossing the two swords on her back on the opposite bed to him.
He looked up, hand stopping right at the end as she started clapping. His eyes flicked over her form as she tossed her stuff on the bed. Zipping up the case he gave an easy chuckle.
"I don't usually do requests. Though I don't know that one anyway....you're my room mate, I assume?"
"Roommate?" She brought a hand up to cover he giggle. "Honey, we got like two rooms for everyone." She stressed that last part. They were all roommates.
"Hope you're not shy." She winked at him as she unzipped her hoodie to toss that on the bed as well.
His hands were in the pockets of his sweatpants- but he hadn't held a sword since Europe, and only at a time in dire need. He practiced with them and the pole....not that he compared to the owner, he was sure.
"Just as long as you don't try and stab me until I'm standing up."
She said playfully as she snatched the strap of her bag that was tucked all the way in the back. With a small sound of effort she'd shimmy her way out from under the bed.
"But what if you run into someone unarmed that can....say....swallow a school whole? I'd say its pretty obvious these baby's weren't of much use back then."
He'd sheath it and hand it back. He didn't mean that as an offensive statement, just questioning her commitment to their one-sided victory.
Was she dressed? He'd glance back. If she was still...undressed, he'd face forward again promptly but otherwise would turn back.
"I didn't ask what did this- the Empire is a collective entity. I'm curious who did it. What the name or identity or look of the guy or girl who literally tore apart the school is."
He drew his hands back into his pockets....and though he seemed calm, his toes curled against the ground, a slight creak emanating from the boards as he pressed against them.
"And do we know where he is? Anything about sightings and what nots?"
