Gilgamesh isn't threatened by the swords or the damaged costume. As he'd done before in previous matches he would press a fist against an open palm and bow to Kuma.

He'd toss his cloak off to the side before sliding his feet apart and extending his right arm forward and left arm backward. His eyes locked on the warrior.

Gil snapped into motion in an instant, pivoting away from the blade as his extended arm moved like a whip as he moved behind Kuma to strike him right below where the bear head ends.

With a turn of his wrist, Kuma moves the sword on his right shoulder across his neck and shoulder blade, flicking it so its blade side first. The intended result would be for Gil to have cut himself open during his strike!

Regardless, Kuma instantly pivots towards him following, left sword retreating back defensively as the right slashed down from its position for Gil's torso once more.

Gil follows through with the strike! He'd conditioned his body to be hard and he was hardly afraid to bleed. He'd break the sword first.

His free hand snaked it's way toward Kuma's now incoming blade as he ducked down and continued to move with him. His hand seeking to grab Kuma's fist and take the sword out of the equation. His right foot would slam down for one of Kuma's feet looking to plant him there.

This was their battleground.

Kuma had an enchanted blade, but only one. Unfortunately it wasn't the one Gil struck as the blade in his right hand is cracked! Gil grabs his wrist, but Kuma rolls it, attempting to use the cracked sword and sever his hand! The likely result would be the sword breaking all together, but hopefully not before Kuma was able to free his right hand!

This doesn't prevent the stomp, however!

Kuma raises his left blade, feinting a high strike for Gil! If he fell for it, Kuma would attempt to stab the little piece left of his right blade into Gil's defending arm's armpit. If he didn't take the bait, Kuma would pause following the feint in expectation of a counter strike.

The blade breaking on his hand was one less problem he had to worry about. He didn't so much as flinch as the blood started to flow from the wound. The broken blade was still a weapon but it would reduce his reach. And pinning him would lower the effectiveness of the full blade.

He'd not fall for the ploy and would attempt to smack the broken blade out of his hand.

Kuma begins move so fast that it looks like he's vibrating.

"Maruchifōmu gijutsu." He then splits into another Kuma, and then another. The three Kumas then charge Gil in a triangle pattern, looking to attack him from all sides.

Gilgamesh focused his energy inward, opening his first Chakra gate. His body would pulse with power and energy as his body sprung into action with lightning speed. Shifting and pushing the blade of one of the Kuma's toward the chest of the second Kuma. Following that he'd duck down and bash his shoulder into the final Kuma to try and send him flying back.

When Gil grabs the first sword, his hand phases through! Should he continue with his shoulder bash on the third Kuma he would also phase through as the 2nd Kuma thrusts his blade for Gil's left calf, looking to pierce the muscle! Success or not, they'd all begin circling Gil at high speed, trying to mix themselves up again!

His teeth grind together as the magic blade pierces through his leg and he phased through the others. Illusions then. He'd close his eyes as the copies began to come at him, focusing his senses for the sound of footfalls, the feeling of the air moving around him to determine where the next strike will come from.

Gilgamesh can certainly hear and feel where the real Kuma is, but are his other senses as quick as his eyes to deal with Kuma's speed as he slashes for his stomach?

With his first Chakra gate open he's far faster than his normal impressive speed! With the real Kuma identified Gilgamesh would leap upward over the slash and Kuma himself in a flip as he brought his foot down for the small of Kuma's back! to kick himself off to the other side of the arena!

The blow lands, causing Kuma to fly towards the opposite side, stabbing his sword into the ground to slow his rolling and control himself to a stop in a crouch.

Kuma takes a deep breath as he stands, the other mirages disappearing as that technique clearly won't work anymore on Gilgamesh. He sheathes his sword, hand moving to the hilt for a drawing stance in battojutsu.

Upon his own landing, he'd twist to face Kuma once more. Pain coursing through his injured leg as it continued to bleed, but there it was. Someone interesting to fight. This was why he had come.

While Kuma did whatever it was he was going to do Gilgamesh pressed the offensive. The man was a sword fighter and he assumed that sheathing the blade could mean only one thing. So he'd rush right for him, though rather than launch an attack his hands would move to press his palms against the flat part of the blade from what he assumed was going to be an unsheathing attack.

Indeed the technique is a drawing attack, one that seemed to be going for his waistline. Gil pushes down on it, but Kuma doesn't yield, pushing back and testing Gil's strength as he angles the blade to try and cut him in his grip!
