Rebecca chokes on her soda at the nudging and comment, trying to smother her laugh. The comment is a lot more awkward with Sarah being in the room with them.
"I believe this is the part where you suggest something for Sarah. Or public places." There's a light pink blush spreading across her cheeks as she pokes his side, but she's smiling as she does it.
Rebecca had no way of responding that doesn't promise to make things worse, so she clamps her mouth shut until Sarah goes for the tried and true good time!
"Yes," she agrees emphatically. Then she realizes Eric would probably just add that to the list how to make a good time better.
She snorts at Eric's comment and rolls her eyes, nudging him with her elbow. But Sarah's suggestion, especially since she doesn't have a lot of experience in this sort of thing yet. Online browsing isn't the same.
Nothing was working. Hell, Sarah was even encouraging it. How was she supposed to say no without breaking the confession? Thanks for the idea, but we're going to ditch you now? Even then, going with a best friend would have been fine, even both of them. But between dating one and being confessed to by the other - about both her and Eric - Rebecca can't think of a way to say no without making this a big deal or otherwise becoming awkward.
"You just want to see me in a corset," she accuses Eric as she gives him a sideways glance.
She stares at Sarah at the wink, not understanding at all. Finally, she offers a small smile and chuckles.
"Sounds like an adventure to me." Admittedly, part of her is curious about the sort of shop Sarah has in mind, and it shows.
Sarah notices the stare and her smile sort of falters for a second. Sitting here, chatting with them, Eric acting like everything was normal.... it was almost too easy to pretend nothing had happened.
She brushed her fingers through her hair before standing up, looking away. Calm, she told herself. Just have a good time.
"So, are you going to have to drag me out once I look at what they have?" Rebecca offers a small chuckle and shakes her head, glancing at Sarah and feeling horrible for making this awkward when apparently everyone else was fine with it.
Eric, however, brings up a good point and a moment of distraction that she is happy to latch on to. She purses her lips in thought for a moment, then shakes her head.
"That'd be a trick, but I think w e'll probably have to call a cab."
His tone and expression would make it very clear how little in the mood he is for this. But okay, sure. Humour her. He could be dead in a week after all, might as well have a little fun.
