Mike was standing just outside of Paradigm's main building staring into a window that lead to an empty classroom. A blue aura enveloping his whole body, fists clenched and jaw clenched as he stared unblinkingly at his own reflection.
Yeva was walking by, it was starting to get cloudy in the distance and she wanted to check on the grounds. Seeing Mike as she passed, a serious look in his eyes... She would walk over keeping a fare distance due to the aura.
He replied gruffly. Clenching his fists tighter and furrowing his brows. The aura shifting ever so slightly around him rather than the calm solid barrier it was last time she had seen him when he fought Clyde.
Yeva watched, looked to the class room, then looked back at Mike. She was trying to place the connection. His aura was different, she wondered how that worked.
"How about you put the power away for a minute. Lets talk."
The blonde would tuck some hair behind her ear away from her face.
"The simulations are built in difficulty to defeat four metahumans. Particular safety levels in consideration people tend to train with a well thought out plan or team strategy. Simply because of difficulty, but to go in completely random? Might as well walk against the Empire alone."
~This batch has the best luck, or they really are as powerful as Matt said.~
"They are bullies... But these bullies will fight to kill. They are very numerous in number, and if that doesn't scare you, then you may want to learn your own lesson more than once."
"I know I'm not the smartest guy here. I'm not an intelligence specialist. But I know we don't need to be afraid of them."
He clenched his fist.
"They are afraid of us. That's what bullies do. They throw their weight around and try to dominate everyone around them. They try to make us afraid so they don't have to be. They might have a lot of people. But so do we."
"Then why did over estimating yourself in training bother you? Obviously you were just fine against some training bots, the entire Empire is just the next step."
Yeva would say flatly.
"We could go to all out war, and we could win. I agree. But at what cost? Do you know? Because I do not."
