Personality: More than a little rough around the edges. He can often come off as cold and impersonal. Sometimes even sadistic as he apparently has no qualms about putting people in danger. That includes the Jr. Agents and students that make up Paradigm's newest recruits. He makes no secret about his colorful past involvements in gangs and terrorism. Though those that have known him longer can infer this is likely an attempt to intimidate the younger crowd and inspire not only compliance to his orders, but also to present an enemy for them to form an unified front against.


Interests: Ensuring that these children don't die, dramatic displays, mind games, the development of metahuman powers.


Skills: Putting people in harms way, figuring out powers, hand to hand combat, explosives.

Abilities/Powers: Earth Manipulation - Mathew can manipulate all manners of stone and metals.

History: Mathew Amtrum is a product of an abusive home and a corrupt system. Lost in the cracks and driven to a life of crime he strove his whole life to leave a lasting mark on the world. Armed with a way with words and grand dreams he never suffered a shortage of people with no hope or prospects willing to throw their lot in with him. It was when the Awakening happened that Mathew became a real threat. Turning his aspirations to a global level he lead a group of Metahuman's and a defecting portion of the Russian military to attempt to create a nuclear threat in order to unite the world against him.

He was foiled by Paradigm and retreated to lick his wounds and come up with the next phase of his plan. Before that could happen he was ripped out of his time to the future where he saw humanity nearly destroyed at the hands of LEGION and it's robotic army. It was only by working with those that used to be his enemies that they were able to reverse this tragedy and secure the future of man kind. Shifting his perspective he realized that him and Paradigm had aligned interests. Turning himself in he was put to work under Paradigm where he serves to this day to ensure the next batch of Agents is able to stand up against people like him.
