She looks at Matt like she's expecting another answer, and that it's the truth rather than what he's just told her. She looks at his wrist and frowns as he winces.
"I'm still working on it." It's both apology and reiteration, but she's not hiding her displeasure at the results.
"It's not just your say in the matter." She shrugs. They weren't her words, just her impressions. Not to mention, she came to Paradigm ten years after gaining her power. A lot of things can happen in that much time, good and bad.
"Not that I'm not glad forit." It's true. There'd been more hope for her head since she'd joined than she could remember. Ups and downs happen everywhere, but this? Paradigm had given her a chance at solid progress.
She's not sure why Matt jumped the defensive gun on her, though.
"I know I'm not." She'd seen Clyde set fire to campus right along with Matt, after all, and she knew she wasn't the only one with the problem to come to Paradigm.
"Or do you mean people who could become a problem, but you have enough time to try and prevent that?" She tilts her head to the side. Technically it's the same thing he said, but the phrasing she uses refocuses the issue elsewhere.
She seems to be expecting the latter more than anything.
"Who's been training you in martial arts? I'd say continue along, they've been doing a good job so far. But strategically speaking, you don't want to grapple with a stronger opponent, usually."
