So he had promised Clyde that he'd drag him along on his next adventure but hadn't really gone into what it was about. Really, he couldn't recall telling Clyde what he had been up to. So he was pretty excited about this. HE thought about having another person in the real world to track the time, but it occurred to him that it wasn't needed if they used a classroom with a clock. They could just check stuff out and then when they got back compare the time.
He'd shot Clyde a text message telling him to meet him in room 101 for their adventure!
"No idea! But there's no atmosphere. We measured it last time we went. But you wanted an adventure right? Well this is outta this world."
He'd laugh at his own joke before ripping open a portal in space between the two of them. Clyde would be able to see red scorched ground and a purple sky overhead! Eric was glancing over at the clock to take note of the time.
It appears to be a barren wasteland that stretches forever. Purple sky with storm clouds rolling in and cracked red ground appears to be dead and lifeless. He'd also find that he is not immediately dying from the lack of air!
"Welcome to the Nexus. The world between all worlds."
Eric would say, spreading his arms toward the vast expanse that surrounded them. The portal shutting once Clyde was safely through.
"Just as a warning. Last time I was here we had to fight some killer robots from another timeline. But I'm pretty sure we are alright this time. Though there may be giant monsters..."
"I wanted to see if time passed differently here than in our world. We stepped through the portal at 10:15 AM. So I figured we could chill here, explore, talk, or whatever and then check the time when we got out."
He'd check the watch on his wrist only to frown and start tapping the watch.
