"Yeah. I know nothing I can say will change that, either." She folds one knee to let her arm drape across it, feeling more awkward as she tries to find something to say that might let Fiona start to come out of her depression, or at least leave the door. She's not a miracle worker.
"Can I ask you something? About your power with this?" She hesitates with the questions. This is probably going to go badly.
"No." She shakes her head and offers a tiny smile. "That's up to you if you want to." Her thoughts had actually been on Fiona this time and had nothing to do with herself.
"I was wondering if you still see all the possibilities of what could have been, for any situation. If they're as strong now as they were before the events take place." Because that would be heartbreaking, especially if she saw futures where she could save both Destiny and Miranda.
"Because standing in front of that door changes nothing. You need to get out of here. See something, anything, that isn't part of this." Silent thanks to Kanon for showing her how effective this could be.
Touching hadn't been part of the plan, but it's a good sign. Rebecca rocks forward on to her knees and rolls onto her feet, taking Fiona's hand to help her up.
She heads off towards the cafeteria! She's not a pro at consolation, but even she knows when a person hasn't slept in days.
Fiona rose gracefully from the ground with Rebecca's hand in hers. She'd just silently follow with shoulders dropping and eyes downcast. Like a defeated puppy on a leash.
Of course not. Becca frowns slightly but shrugs it off. She picks out some saltines and a small plastic tub of peanut butter for Fiona, along with a glass of water.
"Try this." Sick people food. It works for a reason.
