He couldn't tell you how long he'd been out, but when he finally started to wake he still felt distant and glazed over. Like the world had been dipped in oil. His head rolled lazily to the side looking up at the IV bag and the machines that were attached to him. Dimly he tried to work through the fog to put together what had happened.
It had been a while after his last visit. Enough time to grab a shower, take a nap, start to text Sarah an apology for acting like a goddamn psycho but then stop without sending it. What had been wrong with him, earlier? What was going through his head? Even before Angel... acted like Angel.
Well, anyway. He'd meant to keep tabs on Eric and that's exactly what he would do. When Eric started looking around, he would see Aaron sitting at his bedside with a glass of water, which he lifts in a little bit of a toast.
Aaron's shadows would move into action, gently catching the glass before it hit the ground! If he succeeded, he would hoist it back up with shadowy hands, laughing it off.
"Don't worry about it. Here, let's try that again."
If he managed to save the glass, he'll let Eric drink his fill. Then, the smile would fade as fast as it appeared. And not because of all the shit running through his head before. Running into Murdoch twice in almost as many infirmary visits was almost enough of a surprise to break him out of it, but still!
"Though, hey, Eric. Gotta be serious for a second. I'm sorry, for back there."

He'd spread his arms like wings before wincing in pain. Surprise crossed his features as he looked toward his injury with furrowed brows. He'd forgotten he was hurt.
Though without any real expertise in medicine, Aaron is limited to indicating that Eric should lay back and relax. He didn't seem to have heard what Aaron said, but then, maybe now wasn't the time. There was Murdoch's comment, though...
Hadn't he summed it up for him?
"Yeah, things got hectic in there. And there's me, the only one without the decency to get hurt."
He looked down before realization crossed his face.
"Oh shit! I can get candy!"
He'd move his hand to try and rip open a portal, but nothing happened. Confusion clouded his face again as he started to shake his hand like a broken remote.
