Aaron would tap the side of his head to highlight that point. He'd told Murdoch a little bit about how one of those things mindjacked him. How his brain had been all scrambled for a while after, made him act... irrational. Weird. In a way that the others probably all hated him for it by now.
As he said that, a shadowy hand would reach up and support the glass so Eric won't drop it!
"Take it easy, they'll all be fine. I checked in on 'em while you were out."
Well, most of 'em. He wouldn't get specific unless Eric asked, though. He didn't want to think about poor Fred.
"We even came back with something to show for all that. I captured one of the evil cat things, and the team upstairs brought back a metahuman that was on the grounds."

Goddamnit, Murdoch. But then, Eric was going to find out eventually anyway, wasn't he?
"She and I both got hit by those cat things. She shot the one that tried to take me over, but one got her before I could see it. It made her shoot at me with her gun's lethal mode; I was covering you and Sarah with a wall of shadow, so I guess I was the only target in sight."
Hard not to sound grim. How to tell him this next part without it sounding like Eric's fault?
"You, um, you used what strength you had left saving me. Threw up a portal, made it shoot the creature instead. Beam went right through, though; still, she's gonna be fine. They're working on getting her good as new, I'm sure in a bit she'll be up and about like nothing happened."
Hurray, lying! He tried to smile, lighten things a little.
"I would've dodged, you know. You didn't need to bother. I'm grateful, of course, but still."
He gave her a little wave, nodding along to what Eric said. Not about cuteness, more being glad people were all right. Though, there was still the question of what to actually do with the cat thing and the prisoner.
"Half of Paradigm's going to be checking in on you at this rate, Eric."
"They're not for everyone." Savaak smiles waves to the boys as she breezes through the door. Thankfully, the little lady with a shock of orange hair had moved quickly, so she had nothing to say to her. Besides, the Super Squad needed to be here to support their Captain.
She takes a chair near the bed, or stands close to it, if taken, and looks Eric over with a low whistle.
"Wow, Captain. Looks like they loaded you up with the good stuff."
She smiled and leaned against the doorframe but didn't say anything. It was a little too crowded for her taste and it looked like Eric had what he needed.
Seriously, it was already getting pretty crowded. And he hadn't even told the rest of the team Eric was awake, yet. Though, of course, hard to say much of consequence when he's high as a kite.
