[/b] Mae-Lim changes her action plan depending on situations. When attacked, she plays the defensive, preferring to wear out her opponents. However, if she initiates a battle, Mae-Lim will take up the offensive. While she never has an action plan, using instincts and spur-of-the-moment moves (which can make her either extremely predictable, or the very opposite), Mae’s speed and great observational skills give her an edge in terms of reaction. While she clearly can’t always be capable of evading or redirecting moves, when the opportunity presents itself, she can usually pull it off.
She doesn’t prefer punches to kicks, as she feels comfortable with both (even using her knees and elbows). Mae-Lim also isn’t above using her surroundings, as anything can be a weapon or shield (even other people).
Weaknesses: Mae-Lim’s moves are so out of the blue that if they fail, she doesn’t always think of a way to protect herself. Her pain tolerance isn’t great due to her small physique, which also makes her striking power rather weak. Of course, her strikes cause pain, but aren’t devastatingly painful. It also means that Mae-Lim won’t often try to use force against force as she will undoubtably be outmatched.
Even through injury, Mae-Lim’s pigheadedness and need to be above all others will cause her to push past her pain and perhaps worsen her own injuries.
Strengths: Flexible and quick makes Mae-Lim a pretty good evader, which is especially important. Her power of observation also allows her to be capable of reading her opponents with a fair amount of ease (but does not guarantee a counter).
Her speed makes her hard to catch, which is necessary to keep herself safe from grapples. And with Mae-Lim not preferring punches to kicks, her inventory of attacks is rather vast. She’s not above cheap shots and will execute bizarre attacks so long as they work (or she thinks they will). [/ul]
