Ryker suddenly decided that it made sense. All of the military was open to those that went through military academy's. So he just nodded and looked her over again. "Well you would definitely fit in a cockpit." He laughed aloud, leaning back and pressing himself against the wall, arching his hips forward and then shoving himself off, standing up with the bottle in his hands.
He was getting low on Soda, but he still had quite a few snacks, and when he stood up he tossed several boxes and wrappers into the trash, looking back down at Aleece with his brow raised slightly. "Well, I guess my magnetic personality doesn't attract just one sort. That's good to know, but I swear your the second one my generation that I've met that isn't an asshole."
When he teased while she took a drink of water she chocked a bit to see him poking fun of her. Putting her bottle down beside her leg Aleece actually stuck out her tongue at the guy. Of course she new she was small she got it from her mother apparently. Laughing to herself she watched him stand but she didn’t mind she didn’t like standing when she ate it was a personal pet peeve or something really that she couldn’t do.
Picking up her slim jim she once more started eating on it just like she had told Ryker she would do, a second round, so to say for the snacks she had bought, “well I guess I should feel special huh? That I’m only the second person of our age that you’ve met that isn’t a complete jerk and only wants to try and kick your ass.”
With a laugh to herself she shook her head, “so who’s the first? Gotta right to know who beat me out of the number one spot.”
Grinning as she said it she took a healthy bite of the spicy meat.
Ryker grunted and glanced off, thinking she purposefully picked up the slim jim, so he avoided looking at her. He still hated it even if she liked it, so why stare at her? "Well I would think it's more of a stroke of rare good luck on my part rather than an honor on yours, but whatever works."
Tilting the bottle back he gulped down the last of his soda, the tingling along his tongue and throat feeling refreshing even though it was just sugar washing over sugar.
Taking a deep breath he tossed the empty bottle away and glanced back down, frowning as he noticed she took the time after asking a question, the grin telling him she did it purposefully.
"Sam. Level headed guy, known me before and after Juvi."
Something about the name Sam rang something faintly recognizable in Aleece and she stopped chewing for a moment. Shaking her head she quickly finished off the slim jim (really there hadn’t been a lot left) and picked up her water after to take a healthy gulp. Her eyes watered a bit from the heat of the last few bites but she managed to keep it together.
Aleece tossed the trash and moved without a second thought back to the chips. She was getting a little full but it wasn’t enough to stop her.
“Well I’ll just keep thinking I’m special then,” she said with a grin as she opened the second container of cheese dip and proceeded to get on it. She hadn’t been kidding when she had come out tonight intent on junking out and she really could care less who was to walk up or notice her. This would be good fuel to stay up the rest of the night anyways.
"And hey if this guy is as level headed as you say I'm sure we'd get along great, where does he go? Fremont with you?"
Ryker just shrugged, he didn't mind if she was going to thin of herself as special. He figured she was either kidding or she needed an ego boost, so either way he didn't really mind what was going on inside her skull as long as she didn't go stalker on him or something.
"Samuel? Eh that bastard goes to Knox, really upstanding Sir, yes, Sir type. He can chill out, but he's got more time in the military, officially, then I do. So, eh, did I ask your name yet?"
She really didn’t need an ego boost although her words would probably lead something else to be desired she just couldn’t help but joke around. She listened to Ryker talk about his friend being the real military type of guy and she nodded. Yeah she understood that. She’d come across a lot of ‘em in Knox and while she couldn’t really relate to them she go it.
There were just some that took it that seriously. When he asked if he’d gotten her name Aleece chuckled a little around her mouth full and swallowed before answering.
“Wow I either am not doing that great of a job leaving an impression or you just really did forget. “Yeah…the names Aleece.”
She found it amusing more then anything that she would have to re introduce herself but she didn’t dwell on it as she went back to finishing off her chips and dip.
Ryker frowned slightly and then realized that she was half joking, so he rubbed the back of his head and leaned against the wall, his beck feeling as though it had been scratched as he nudged up against it, but paid it no mind as he focused on the task at hand.
His last snack cake, which seemed sadly alone after stuffing himself with so much junk food.
"Sorry, I get absent minded at night. It's why I cram after I wake up instead of at night."
