It's an fairly warm night, but not unseasonably so, on the campus grounds of Paradigm. However the pleasant temperature aside, the weather is not kind. Sheets of rain crash to the ground as lightning splits the sky in increments, a storm passing by. Most people would have made their way inside, though one can never truly tell as we focus on such a counterpoint. Kanon is standing in open halfway between the front gates and building, with umbrella clutched firmly in hand amidst the storm. She makes no sound or movement, merely standing there as a solitary figure.
Mike didn't beat the storm. He had lost track of time while out and about and was now forced to run his way back to Paradigm. Blue aura shining around him, rain splattering off of the energy that made up his being he ran as fast as he could for the gates, gradually slowing when he saw the lone figure in the storm. And stopping when he saw who it was. The last time he had seen Kanon she hadn't been in the best of states, and he couldn't help but wonder if she was having another... episode.
"Are you okay?"
He called out to her, attempting to project his voice over the crashing rain and thunder.
Kanon drops her umbrella as she starts to skip around in the circular path she's created. After a couple trips around, she moves to the center and stands perfectly still a moment. Slowly she tilts back her head, eyes closed as the rain pours over her, her arms extended fully to her sides as two bright white orbs form in her hands. There is a pause before she drops them toward the ground, where they seem to bounce and skip across the water in a similar circular fashion while melodic piano keys start to play.
A serene smile crosses onto the young woman's face as her foot starts to tap out a bass line, equalizer style lights that changing in sequence with the colors of the rainbow rising and falling around her lower legs as it goes. Her hands glow again as she starts to send waves through the crashing rain in rhythmic fashion, synths riding on light waves with the same sequencing rainbow light effect. She continues this for a while, replacing the bouncing orbs as they dissipate, the tempo increasing bit by bit.
There's a momentary pause, leaving only the piano, as Kanon hops into the air. When she lands, the bass line returns louder than before causing the light to returns as large spires that shoot up as high as they can into the sky. The tempo returns as Kanon continues to dance, spin, and hop around as her light and music show continues. She has entered some sort of trance that little could break. Her hands glow with light as she fires more synths into the sky, red to orange to yellow to green to blue to violet and everything in between.
This continues on for almost ten minutes, if anyone bothered to time, as the music seems to head toward the end of its crescendo. As it does, Kanon leaps yet again in the process of dancing, this time when she stomps with both feet. All the music stops save for only a low hum as a wave of deep vibrant purple makes its way through the water on the ground, illuminating it. For a moment, the young woman at the center of this remains still, seemingly basking in everything, before extending her hands toward the sky. From her arms there is a burst of fluttering white lights that travel upward, soft high note accompany and fade out...
Another moment passes.
Kanon slowly drops to her knees on the ground, eyes shut and head tilted back, a smile of pure bliss on her face.
