Rebecca's cheeks turn bright red as she becomes the center of attention. Looking down at her feet she mumbles something that turns her face even more red.
Her face is going to be purple within minutes at this rate. She draws in a deep breath and lets it out in a sharp burst.
"Zombies, okay? I literally thought I was fighting more of those things in the graves that came back to life." If there was God, the ground would come up and swallow her whole right now.
"I'm sorry I can't hear you over the lives I saved." Eliott scoffs.
"Do you know who stopped you from trying to kill us all? Me. Do you know who kept Mark from being ripped apart? ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO MADE SURE THAT THING ENDED UP IN THAT PORTAL? YOU GUESSED IT! THE GIRL WHO WAS HIDING!"
She takes a second to take a breath.
"Before you even think about downplaying my involvement, I suggest you remember which one was the liability."
Silence for a second as her grip tightens further. And here she was thinking of thanking the other girl for making sure she couldn't do what she'd intended. That just flew out the window wihthout wings or a helmet.
"Look, I never said that things went bad," she snapped, "I came here to check and see how people were doing after because the entire thing was bizarre. I do not need your judgement." Stupid brat should have been left in a hole somewhere after she hit her.
Rebecca watches Eliott go with an intense frown, not pursuing her or wanting to. She beat herself up enough over it, let alone the other girl's feelings adding to the mix. Not that they weren't valid.
"Well, I'm glad you're getting out soon," she adds to Mark, turning to address him rather than Eric. Her frown stays in place.
"I also wanted you to know, I guess. It sounds really stupid, I know, but I would never attack other agents. I don't know what happened, but I honestly thought I was on my own and outnumbered."
