Rebecca looks down and readjusts her fist so that it matches the position Mark explains. She remembers comments from other people about not using knuckles to prevent breaking them, which may or may not be part of her current problem.
She follows suit, aiming for a space in the air between them and using Mark's position as a reference for where she wants to hit.
It's not bad, but any incoming blow to her dignity may be greater.
Rebecca starts to respond, but Mark beats her to it. Instead, she shrugs. Not offended at being called weak since it's been pointed out before, she nods towards Mark.
"Well, you've already seen what my power does. I don't think going for my face would be good for you until it's better controlled." Yeah, still holding on to that hope.
Eric wasn't sure whether or not to take offense. He felt like Silas was trying to bait him. But he also didn't want to get punched by Mark. He saw what he did to Gravedigger. Though he'd at least been working on strength training since the training mission.
He just gives Silas a sideways glance but doesn't say anything.
"It wouldn't matter. I'd still hit you in the face if we were fighting."
Mark says simply.
"Future opponents might now know your power, either. It's best to avoid being hit in the first place."
Then he turns towards Enya.
"Speed and precision can take the place of strength. Hitting someone in their vulnerable points where you can do the most damage with the least amount of force, while keeping yourself from taking any damage in return."
"But a skilled opponent who is slower will take blows in order to draw you in, deflecting your hits to less vulnerable spots in order to wear you down."
