Enya's standing in the courtyard, waiting for the director to show up!

She has a little pouch full of needles.

She was probably going to need as many as she could spare.

Jack shows up just a few minutes later!

He's holding two long wooden objects that look a lot like signs!

"You seem eager."

Jack says, placing one of the signs against a tree.

It looks like a terribly drawn bullseye.

"That's good. It shows you're willing to learn."

"Of course! I've been slowly realizing that I feel a tad powerless sometimes." Enya says, holding her arms behind her back.

"So I thought a good way to get my poison out without disrupting my friends would be to throw them like darts!"

"It'll take a lot of practice."

Jack points out.

"Especially since the spots you're likely to hit are ones that are exposed, so you might end up killing someone if you aren't careful."

"That wouldn't be good."

She'd have to do her best to avoid it.

"But you'll tell me where not to poke, right?"

Even though she already had a good idea.

Jack points at himself.

"Where would you want to hit?"

"Hm. You're very covered..." she says.

"I'd have to hit your fingers or your face. Maybe your neck if I was lucky."

"Other than missing? The neck is probably the most potentially dangerous I guess."

Sh bites down on her lower lip.

"The neck is definitely dangerous. If you nick the wrong vein, or hit the windpipe, you could easily kill."

Jack nods.

"But then, what about the face? And why wouldn't you want to aim for the hands?"

"Is it because they would see it coming? Or they might catch them?"

Though truthfully, she's not sure how many people can catch needles.

Jack shakes his head.

"Nothing so easy. If you throw at someone's face, you could easily catch them in the eye. The hands, well, usually they're constantly in motion, making it pretty difficult to ever hit someone there."

"Blinding someone is not usually seen as good practice. At least, not permanently."

Jack smiles, setting up the bullseye so it stands against the tree more solidly, then backing away.

"Alright. First, throw how you think you should at the bullseye, and try to hit the center."

Enya takes a needle then tries to throw it like a dart!

She's not sure where the needle ends up.

It kind of hits the bottom part of the sign and falls into the grass.

"Alright. At least you have an idea, somewhat. Here, let me show you how to hold it."

He holds out his hand for a needle!

Jack holds the needle in his palm, letting it stick between his fingers while the thumb holds the needle in place.

"Now, like I said before, I'm a little rusty in using needles specifically, but this is the proper way to hold it. Then, you throw with your body weight, giving it more power and making it much more likely to pierce."

Jack mimes the action once, slowly, to let Enya see the motion, before doing it full speed. The needle sinks into the wood, a little to the right of the bullseye's center.

Enya watches with interest, applauding Jack for his very nice shot!

"Oh wow! So if you're not throwing needles, what DO you usually throw?"

"Well, I usually use small razor blades."

Jack reaches into his pocket, pulling out a handful.

"These, knives, or axes are all more of my style. I also tend to attach wires to some of them so I can re-use them after I've thrown them, but I do get some help from my power to do it."

"I wouldn't have as much success with wires I think." she giggles.

"But that's very interesting! I don't know if I've ever heard of anyone using razor blades."

Enya would reach into her pouch and work on trying to hold the needle properly.

"Anybody can take wires, but it took me probably... six months before I was good enough to keep from cutting myself while using them."

Jack chuckles.

"I don't recommend them too much, or blades in general. Everything you need, you can probably get out of a needle, if I had to guess."

"Of course." she nods.

"They're big enough to be useful for close quarters too."

She would go over Jack's movements in her mind before mimicking the movement surprisingly well! The power behind it however, and her ability to let go of the needle, were a tad lacking.

"Oops."
