He had woken several hours earlier in bed but....as he headed down for classes he just didn't feel right. He got all his schoolwork for the day and on his way back decided for a little lay down. Bright lights hurt his eyes. Was this what a hangover felt like? Yesterday he had his first training....that was....not something he wanted to do again. But he knew he would have to. He brought a hand up in the currently empty room and felt it shimmer as he started to use his ability. Then he started feeling weak again. Dan....would have to get better with it, despite hating it. Otherwise he was gonna be a C+ student forever. He clenched his fist as fear and decisiveness hit him all at once. When was was alone...that would do. Maybe there was a training room for....people  like him to go solo, instead of with that maniac. He would reach down and take his bag to open it and grab a book. Pulling out the history text, he would open in to the second chapter and start on his daily readings. She pauses a moment, almost turning around, then shrugs it off and goes to find a place to that's not too close and allows her to keep an eye on the two. She's not getting snuck up on again. She would feel something almost...reluctantly pull up, like his subconscious didn't want her to see it. It was him, around 11, sitting in his room sobbing. There were police lights shining out the window and he was shimmering repeatedly, phasing in and out. Dan would reach and take her finger, scowling. "What are you doing?"
