If that's how he wanted to do things, Murdoch was happy to oblige! raising both fists to eye level, he would dash in for the amputee, throwing two left jabs for his face!
Holy cow, he managed to hit him good. A crippled man, but still. He was a fairly intimidating guy.
Any form of celebration in his head is cut off as the blow to his shin causes him to stumble back. He can remember the last time he was hit there by one of the training bots and the comparison made this seem not as bad!
He attempts to catch his foot and side step around Mat!
"Going for my right side was smart. It's a weakness. Except it's what I was expecting. If you don't have a power worth a damn in a fight you will be out classed by almost any Meta you meet. So how do you plan to beat one you can't just up and thrash?"
He'd offer Mud's his flesh arm, still adorned with his old battered wedding ring.

"I dunno, my surroundings? I used a branch to beat on one of those Miami agents, but he still managed to get me knocked out. Pure skill, maybe? You know, practice and be able to beat them at a technical level?"
"Both. But you out think them. Use your strength. And that's that noggin of yours. You can beat a fire user with CO2. A taser to the nuts will take down most people. Bullets work wonders as well."
There was always a way.
"If your power lets you learn quick then learn what you can. Learn to shoot. Use a blade. Defuse bombs. Try to prepare yourself what what you will be up against."
"I think you have an advantage over a lot of people here. I don't think you will have as much trouble learning to assume you will always be outmatched."
Because when you were ready to accept that you could walk in over your head at any moment, you get in the habit of looking for solutions.
