Personal Information:
    [/b] The University.
    Year: First Year.

    Name: Rush Mercy.
Alias: Ru-Ru (pronounced Roo-Roo). Santi. Fujimori (Fuji part pronounced Foo-hee), or Fuji (Foo-hee). Bear. "Magic".
Date of Birth: February 13, 1991. Though legally, on paper, his parents decided to have it on February 14, for obvious reasons.
    Age: 18
    Nationality: American.
Ethnicity: Grandfather of paternal side was of Spain. His wife was of Italy. They went to Dominican Republic and had Rush' dad. Great-grandma of maternal side was Japanese. Went to Peru and settled down with a Peruvian native. Gave birth to his grandfather, in which turn grew up and gave birth to Rush' mother. She moved to America and met a Dominican- his dad- and gave birth to Rush.
    Blood Type: O
    Height: 6'0
    Weight: 192lbs
    Hair Colour: Solid brown.
    Eye Color: Jaded Green
Handedness: Right handed. However, he's been utilizing his left more and more to make his muscles as sharp and experienced as his dominant arm. He can use both feet equally.
    Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.

Physical Appearance: An overall handsome person. Nothing abnormal. He's usually keeping a straight face, and, if not, he's smiling. White skinned. Very trim, very muscular.

    [li]Upper Body Structure:
His arms are very well defined, and a decent size too (nothing too big however). He has non-excessive neck muscle, and has broad shoulders which are only emphasized by his trapezius and deltoids. Ru-Ru's pectorals are also defined, and as such protrude to show his stature. The abdomens are distributed into four compacts of muscle, with two more underneath in the early stages of development.

[/li][li]Lower Body Structure:[/u] His legs are overall muscular and defined. His hamstrings, quads, and legs in general are neatly defined and evenly distributed. His ankles are of medium size as well, nothing too big nor too small. His feet are more long than they are wide, but, they're not thin enough to consider it only thin.

Apparel & Accessories: He has a 30" black silk chord necklace, with a 1 3/8" wide sterling silver pendent as the head. He doesn’t have a real outfit per se, but he wears almost anything really. Depending on his mood, or just personal preference, he's mostly seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt. On his left wrist, he wears a matching bracelet to his necklace. And, on his left arm, on the deltoid, he has a tattoo written in Kanji, black, reading "Power." On the outside of his right arm (in the middle were the bicep, tricep, and deltoid meet), he has another tattoo written in Kanji, black, reading "Eternity." He is still debating on whether to get one on his chest.

    Power

Eternity (the design is like the Power one, not as messy and without the background)

    Necklace

    Bracelet

Besides the obvious boxers, he wears darkish blue jeans and some type of black sneakers (Jordans, Nikes, Reebok, Converse). Of course, they're not excessively baggy. No extremely fancy belt, just a black leather strap and rectangular silver buckle. Prefers white ankle cotton socks.[/li][/ul]

    Personality:

      Miscellaneous Information:
        [/i] the same.

The nicknames. Because he has what people call a Japanese face (it's very slight, however), many of the Hispanic men at the French restaurant he works at calls him Fuji or Fujimori. Though, specifically, the reason is because of his Peruvian heritage, since the president of Peru was at one point Japanese (enormous Asian influence in Peru), and his name was Fujimori. He wants to start calling himself Magic soon, inspired by his second favorite basketball player, Magic Johnson. The reason is mainly because of how Johnson played the game. Since he's enrolling himself in Boxing should he decide to go professional one day he wants that to be his ring name, if not "The Dream" or "The Answer", which are also used by basketball legend Hakeem (The Dream) Olajuwon and future Hall of Famer, Allen Iverson.

Wants to be stronger than his older brother, thus the reason why he works out. He doesn't know what his "max rep" is in bench-pressing (how much weight one can lift for one repetition/rep). Though has lifted 265lbs twice, after having already exercised. Same applies to squatting, most weight ever attempted was 295lbs, however before doing ten reps of those, he did 10 reps of 135lbs to get his form up, and then 20 (twenty) reps of 150lbs after having done the set of 295lbs. He is quite confident that he can easily squat weight anywhere in the 300-ranges. Only way to gauge his leg strength, was that since the age of fifteen he leg pressed (laying back, pushing forward/upward with legs) about 530lbs consecutively, after already doing sets before this particular exercise.

        • Hobbies:

By the end of his sophomore year, he took a test to become a Personal Trainer and certified at CPR. He's currently waiting for an internship in January for personal training.

He likes to exercise (weightlifting, outdoor activities, etc), and in turn be intact with his friends if they need any motivation for trying to get stronger or faster. He wants them all to have a healthy life, while enjoying the "innocent" lives they lead now.

He loves playing sports, but his favorite is Basketball. However, he has the athletic sense and talent for Football and Soccer, and can't decide which is his absolute "best/favorite." Growing up in such a diverse town, with such a family, he was exposed to different things, which included sports.

Being a car enthusiast, he hangs out with people older than him, mostly because of his older cousin introducing him some years back. Though reading a lot, and at times enjoying getting dirty under the hood or even under the car itself, he has much to learn. He's even considering Automotive as a future for himself.

World of Arts. He enjoys reading. Short stories, poems, nonfiction novels, or fiction novels, some fantasy, and even some sci-fi. One of his favorite books is "Finding Caruso", which involves a young boy a little older than himself, who falls in love with a woman twice his age. His ex-girlfriend being a very talented artist, it grew on him to appreciate painting, and the struggle of holding a pencil correctly. He also likes to write short stories and essays, and isn't a half-bad writer at that.

Media. Every second he's home, there is music playing. In the bathroom, kitchen, or in his room, there is a source music feeding his ears. He tends to look up the lyrics to "new" songs (songs he hasn't heard before), and tries to interpret the meanings to them. Being the movie-goer, he loves watching movies on tv, his dvd's, or opening nights at the theater with his friends. He's also a huge fan of cartoons, and anime. Growin' up watching Transformers, Batman, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Superman- he liked it all really. On his spare time he watches a lot of anime on his computer. Martial art movies are his absolute favorite.

Growing up he's gotten himself involved in Role-Playing Boards, where a person creates a character and assumes the role of that character into the universe of that board; those of which are held on forums over the internet.

        • Habits: He seems to daydream often, whether it be at work, or even in school. Rush unfortunately finds a "need" to reminisce about his younger years growing up, still somewhat fearing the future and what it has in hold for everyone. He can't help but smile. Always takes off his shirt to look at himself when he goes into his bathroom to keep an eye on any changes, and just to merely evaluate himself for personal satisfaction (health wise).

        [/ul]

        Combat:
          [/b]
          Strength: C
          Dexterity: C
          Constitution: C
          Wisdom: C

Style: He’s not a street fighter per se, as he doesn’t even involve himself in any bouts or brawls. If anything, he’s a low level boxer. No techniques, no out-of-the-blue or unreal talent or mastery of the boxers’ way. However, he’s an improvising fighter; growing up mainstream kung-fu media influenced him and his cousins, often leading them to mimic and “butcher” the discipline required. Although he may not be a seasoned fighter, Rush isn’t an idiot. He starts off with his fists up, feet always twitching to move him anywhere he desires, and from there, anything can happen. Whether it be a hook to the ribs or a roundhouse to the face- this kid knows how to use his inexperienced open-mind to maneuver his way to victory and success. His family has had a military background, and his one of his cousins was an instructor of Tae-Kwon-Do, thus leaving him critical basics.

Weaknesses: He’s not a fighter. Unfortunately, combined with his inexperience and uninterest, he’s not the most swift of characters. If anything, he would describe himself as the force behind an object, as to being the object in motion itself. However, he’s really trying to increase his speed, seeing as it really hinders him tremendously. His right knee isn’t so reliable, solely because of a drunken mistake due to his immaturity. Not only is his knee liable, but, his focus is torn in two directions; one of fear for his knee, and one of no fear for what happens to him against an opponent. At least he’s afraid of himself, but, not being afraid of anybody can be a serious mistake.

Strengths: His stamina and endurance are really amazing. To a degree, because he’s physically stoic he goes a long way when taking damage, often giving him the chance to overcome and counterattack. He’s not the fastest kid around the block, but he’s indeed conservative and smart, knowing full well when to put his whole weight into a blow. Because of his “never-feel-pain-ideology,” there may be instances where he would “sacrifice” himself, putting himself at risk in order to take someone down. If it was up to him, he would most certainly see this as an advantage. He’s also really powerful, being an avid ballistic trainee. Agile and flexible.

          History:
February 13, 1991. 2:45 in the afternoon. West Chester County, New York.

            Rush was born.
            --
His grandfather was first of the family to come to the United States. Coming through Ellis Island, he of course went through the standard procedure of examining, and the American's obvious xenophobia. Originally, his name was Santiago Mercedez, but because the person who was admitting the people into the country, thought that this was too un-American and too Spanish (had trouble pronouncing it), it was changed to Mercy. Getting over this… “dishonor,” he quickly dismissed it and prepared to engage in what would be the rest of his American life.

Life, of course, was difficult for him, as it was for all immigrants coming into the country. Sleeping in basements of people willing to offer, or seeking refuge in a park, he strived to make due. At first he started out as a laborer, being paid as low as a few dollars for hours’ worth of work, to eventually have his break by one day encountering someone who needed a replacement waiter in a very prestigious restaurant. It turns out, he made a very fine impression, and was given a permanent job off the books. Eventually, he met very nice and respectable people, gaining himself connections and resources if ever the case. As he saved up his money, he started looking for a decent place to live now that he had a steady job, with more coming in the future.

State of New York. This was his new start. He lived in a small town maybe 20-30 miles north of Manhattan, making his living in being a contractor. The money was excellent, and he had jobs coming in an abundance that'd give him enough money for the whole year in only a few months worth of work. Good things come to those who wait, to those who persevere and strive through hardship to get what they want. Quickly, he had become an owner of his own house, married an upper-middle class woman who came as a diplomat of Italy, and went back to his country to show his family his spouse. Unfortunately, he didn't want to come back to America. Selling his house as soon as possible, he took all the money he had and retired at an early age to spend the rest of his days in DR, with his new family; his wife and a son already on the way.

Growing up to be Rush' dad, he met a Peruvian immigrant with an American visa in southern New York. Meeting through work at a Bloomingdale's, their relationship started really slowly, becoming friends through their boss was the cause for it. Inevitably, they married, and had two children. First, it was a son, with Rush being born four years later.

This boy grow up in the street one could say, spending all his days outside with his friends, playing tag, hide n "dark" seek (only difference compared to hide n seek is that the former is played in complete darkness usually indoors), soccer, street hockey, or even football. Whether Rush was learning how to roller blade or ride a bike, his mother had raised him to be an intelligent child. Playing interactive children's games, reading kiddy books, and even trying to memorize the fifty states by eight years old, he was born to be the perfect son.

In school, he had excellent grades, was polite, athletic, and often the center of attention with a few of his buddies as well (though this certainly means getting in trouble). As he got older, his friends started transferring out of school, eventually leaving him to dry with his "reserve" friends by the time it was eighth grade, the graduating class of his ten-year catholic school. Having been exposed to what he believes was love, he wanted to move on to high school trying to move on with what he lost, and what he wanted to gain. Rush didn't want to let time slip by... not anymore, so in high school he really tried to get involved with people. Though, often being lonely because of his "laziness" to call someone up and make plans, he usually stayed home and found refuge doing something else (outside practicing his soccer, or even the internet). Though, as he reached the end of his sophomore year, he felt that he was nearly ready to leave his school. It was changing too much, and he didn't like it. Whether it was his friends leaving or the added security, everything was starting to piss him off, to the point where he considered to drop out of school altogether. To... "resolve" this problem, Rush was sent to live in the city with his uncle and cousins- to get a "better perspective" on life and continue being his family's "ray of hope," as his mother called him. Carrying all this pressure, he didn't want to disappoint his mother any further, wanting to be a good son.

Starting his Senior year, he had no real expectations nor fears- only weak sorrow. He was pretty much starting from scratch, and he didn't want to go through with this at all... though he knew he had too. Trying to make best of the situation, he wanted to make it a great year. He finally made the twelfth, with college around the corner. This, he saw, was his last chance for his future... learning through teachers the pressures he's facing with a multitude of exams and worries of tomorrow waiting for him. And if it all went well, he might have even cherished his stay.

Unfortunately, there was no happy ending. Though he had started the academic year strongly, the latter half of the year was disgraceful. Rush had failed all his classes for the third quarter, and barely managed to make graduation with his irresponsible recovery in the last three months of school. It was a very... stressful year for his psyche, but he came out of it stronger. There were many things that he experienced before the closure of his childhood, many of which are lessons that will be thought about throughout his stay at the "college level." The problem was, he was going to have to apply these lessons across the country, in a place where he was unsure if any other family was near or not.

His uncle who had primarily worked in Los Angeles had decided on taking a prolonged vacation due to minor health issues, leaving his pharmaceutics company in the hands of the CEO, his eldest son Rudy Martinez (and of course he's Rush' eldest cousin). With time in his hands, he had decided to bring out his "lost" nephew and take him out to settle down in San Diego, where he had bought a home primarily for Rush (merely to provide hospitality. He intends to make this his permanent home after retirement), in the Ocean Crest neighborhood. Here, the New Yorker would have to spend his summer getting to know the area, the people, and a little bit about himself before the new semester started. His uncle, Herbert Martinez, used his influence to enroll his nephew into O'Hare University, where he believes Rush will have the most memorable collection of experiences in his life.
