Rebecca can't even begin to wrap her around all that. And here Fiona sees it, all in one go? And some of the stuff was ridiculous. Breaking Clyde's heart, for one thing. Others...they had already happened.
She doubted her father would ever listen. She didn't want to think about betraying Paradigm, which was great to hear with Aaron right next to them. Real nice. Right along with the terrorists bits, though those could be anyone at any point in time.
Aaron was still there but was busying himself with reading his letter.
Considering going. He felt awkward being the third wheel in this whole thing.
...Actually, not entirely true. When he heard something about betraying Paradigm, he'd looked up, and now he was watching them intently. Sure, he didn't want to interrupt, but he couldn't help being curious. Fiona had accurately predicted "tragedy" after all.

There's a difference between her own vague admission and Fiona's words, which say outright what Rebecca doesn't. She frowns, but nods as she looks at the other girl.
"Thanks, Fiona." This was awkward. It was nice to hear her say, but she wished they were alone for it. At least Aaron was quiet. "I...yeah. Thanks. I'd like to move away from my secrets now."
Might as well keep sticking her foot in her mouth at this rate. Rebecca shrugs.
"I don't know you, Fiona. I don't know what your opinion of anything you've experienced here is. Some people think it's worthwhile, some don't. Some leave, some stay." Some die, and some live.
