Her smile grew, but as it did, more of her teeth showed, making it look almost predatory. A lot of people thought they could ask all of the right questions, and they were wrong.
Their arrogance was insulting. His honesty? She liked that.
"Venus was a goddess of an old religion," she said, actually not seeming to lose her patience. "She represented beauty, fertility, sex, and desire, amongst other things."
With a light shrug, she said, "My dad was a theology buff. He loved the old religions."
Jayshawn gives her a curious look, not something he would think a man would name his daughter after but it's better than a car. He takes another sip of water.
"That's new, always thought people with that name was due to the planet. What religion is that?"
It certainly isn't one he's heard of, but he's interested.
She shrugged slightly. His answer wasn't entirely wrong, but it wasn't exactly right, either.
"I do a lot more than answer questions," she said simply. "I utilize an intelligence network so I can completely know my enemy before attack. I usually attack the weakest points at the most unexpected times."
Ninja? That got her to laugh again, her face lighting up. It had been a while since she had been called a ninja, but hey. Whatever works.
"It's no more work than a Defense agent," she said with a lift of one brow. "On the field, they get to do most of the work and deal with my leftovers."
"And if you can't catch the other guy?" She asked, genuinely curious.
That was her problem with the smash and grab method. If somebody tried to just smash and grab her... Well, they'd have to get close to her, and then they wouldn't have much of a chance to get out.
