Angel would be lying in the infirmary his arm in a cast he had been given pain medication because after the adrenaline wore off he was in lots of pain. To the point that the beast inside wanted to come out and rip everything to shreds. So he medicated. Now he was lying there a little loopy and laughing at the tv... Which wasn't even on...
Hearing that Angel was in he hospital, Murdoch thought it perfect opportunity to apologize for shooting him in the shoulder. He'd walk in to do just that!
"Hey man, just stopping by to-"
He was cut off by the laughing, and the cast around his arm.
"Geez, I didn't think I did such a number on you. That cast isn't because of me, right?"
Angel seemed contemplative for a moment before speaking again. This time with less amusement.
"Shes hurting."
It seemed like a simple statement but even with drugs in his system the look of sorrow would still be clear across his face.
"Not on the outside where people can see, but in here."
He would say pointing to his chest, he probably meant to point to his heart bit his finger was off the mark a bit.
"I don't know what caused it but the signs are obvious. I've lost too many friends and family because of that pain. Faced it myself a few times. But I always had someone help pull me out of it. Even Piper has helped me through a small bout of it. But I've never been able to help anyone before. Every time I try people tell me I'm wrong..."
He would look to Murdoch, someone he knew nothing about and honestly someone he would probably be yelling at for shooting him if he were thinking clearly but right now... He was the only one listening.
"Am I wrong? All I want to do is help my friend. My sister. I know how or... I'm pretty sure I do. But even if I'm wrong I know my way has a chance of working. Everyone else's way only causes a temporary fix and that's not enough."
A tear would told down his face he was legitimately sad that no one listened.
"Do they not listen because I'm young? Because I'm a monster? Or is it just because they think I'm stupid?"
That was a lot to process all at once. This guy was laying his soul in front of Murdoch and he didn't necessarily know how to respond.
"Well, I don't know what's going on with Piper, but I don't think you're wrong or right, exactly. You're just doing what you feel you got to to help your friend, right?"
He was trying to word this carefully. He figured Angel was a bit hotheaded, considering the attitude he had given him during the giant attack.
"You sound like a good guy. What is it you're doing that people aren't okay with? Do you have, like, an example or something?"
"He is blinded by his feelings. Can't blame him I was like him once."
Angel shook his head clearing the memories out of his head.
"He is trying to coddle her and thinks that if he keeps whispering sweet nothing's in her ear everything will be ok and she will love him, and him her. They will live happily ever after. Bah!"
Angel exclaimed.
"Mark my words if Piper doesn't find the help she need soon, and I mean within the next hour to HOPEFULLY a day from now, Aaron will be the first person to get hurt, and if he isn't prepared he will break."
Angel fell silent for a moment before continuing.
"But maybe he needs that. He needs to grow up and realize life doesn't run off of the plans you lay out for it."
Turning to look at Murdoch again there would be something different in his stare it far more primal in fact Murdoch would have seen it once before. It would be the same look Angel had in his eyes right after he killed the clone.
"Nature rules all. Humans are only just being allowed to live on this ball of dirt they call their home. But that will not always be so. Sooner or later something stronger will emerge in the evolutionary chain... Maybe something already has..."
Then he would fall back to the bed he was growing tired.
"I don't think that's how evolution works" Scientifically, not philosophically.
"If Piper needs mental or emotional help, she should probably see Dr. Gavyns or some other psychologist."
He didn't really have any idea what Angel had been through, but the way he talked, Murdoch assumed it was some brutal stuff.
"Like I don't understand the issue here, man. Is she refusing counselling or something?" The last and first time he saw Piper, she seemed fine. Although he did understand her troubled past.
"I don't know why, but she's seperating herself. It started with a panic attack outside the hospital. Someone, a man I think, pulled her aside and whatever happened during that meeting... He did or said something to her... I couldn't catch him."
"Well I actually don't know. I just smelled a man's presence mixed with hers and when I attempted to follow the scent I only followed it to a parking lot and the car was gone."
Angel completely thought he wasn't allowed to. But with the sudden realization he was out of that bed right quick and in hurry! His feet hit the ground and he stood up and almost fell face first on the floor but he caught himself and waited. Then he would stand up.
"Alright. Let's go!"
And he would start walking to the door. Only wearing his boxers.
"Okay I'll put on some pants but... I've never had coffee is it good?"
He would ask grabbing his jeans off one of the chairs in the room and putting them on. Then he would slip on his flip flops. He decided to not worry about a shirt since he wasn't going to be able to put it on... Easily.
