She watched his glow fade, unable to hide her interest, and reached out to take his hand.
"Pleasures all mine, Mike," she said kindly, before pulling her hand back.
Her shake was gentle and uncertain, fingers weak when wrapped around his.
"Did I interrupt something for you?" She asked, motioning towards the things he had in his hand. "I didn't mean to. I didn't think anybody would see me."
She looked over the baseball bat, eyeing it as she tried to figure out how, exactly, you were supposed to hit some speeding ball with than little thing.
He'd drop the bat and glove on the ground and hold up the ball for her to see how he is holding it. With his fingers over the seams of the ball.
"So you want to hold it like this with your fingers over the seams of the ball. And you'll also want to use your wrist when you throw the ball. A lot of people throw with a stiff wrist."
He'd go through the motion to show her.
"You will want your arm to move in a circular motion as well. Shorter distances will use a smaller circle. So yeah. And you will want to stand like this."
He'd show her.
"Your front shoulder facing where you are throwing and your lower body should also be lined up with your hips closed and pointing toward your target. Your back foot perpendicular. If you throw it correctly the ball will rotate in a 12-6 rotation which will help with your aim."
She listened carefully to every word he said, watching every move he took. She was silent, brilliant blue eyes shining with interest and intrigue. She knew nothing about throwing baseballs, and she didn't have the amazing memory of, say, Murdoch.
She nodded and leaned forward, furrowing her brows. "Your wrist. Show me the motion again?"
She knew she wouldn't be able to mimic his motions, but she wanted to try her best.
