Ken had bought the liquor last time, so he figured it was only fair she pay this one. He would nod and head into his room. After disconnecting everything he would bring it out and plug it into the main TV, chewing his lip as he set everything up. "You know...I go to counseling once a week. Maybe you...should consider it. "That...is a deeply personal issue." He didn't say it unkindly but more like a statement of fact. He would open the grubhub screen and start to look for food but, before she pulled her arm away he would start talking again. "My full name is Kenneth Simpson. My mom called me Kenny or little Kenny ever since I was born. After she was shot in the hospital and before my dad was convicted, I was forced to stay with him. He never called me anything but Kenny or little Kenny. It was a mockery for him, and he knew it ate me up." He would finish his order of orange chicken, rice and veggie rolls before handing it over to her so she could order, though he didn't meet her gaze. Damn, this girl was getting to know him...way too much. Then again, if she saw how fucked his life was, maybe she would know to run. She was more focused on him, on the look on his face. She reached up and brushed her fingers over his cheek, a delicate motion. "I don't mean it to mock you," she said with a smile. "I didn't, I mean. I was trying to be affectionate. I didn't know it bothered you, and I'm sorry." Then, she would take her hand back and turn to focus on the phone. Affectionate? Fuck, this girl was....he would look away again as she removed her hand. "I know you weren't. I'm...just not used to hearing it." He would put a hand behind her head. "I guess....when it's just me and you, Kenny wouldn't be a...horrible name." Ken didn't really know how he would take in the future. He was giving a lot of leash to someone he didn't know as well as he should, but damn if this girl didn't have him stumped. She seemed ready to do damage with those chains, and didn't seem as weak as she felt. At the same time she was just way too kind for the sort of operation that just took place. "I mean...as long as you don't mind Chaingang, Chaingang." It was a nice feeling, really. She was about ready to just close her eyes and forget about the Chinese food altogether when he spoke again. Chuckling, she looked at him with sparkling blue eyes. BK actually blushed before taking a deep breath and a leap. He'd let his hand slide back around her shoulder, pulling her in so she could lean against him while she ordered. He would sigh. "Y'know...I'll always look after you, right? I mean, about today, with the guy who hit you. Don't...be afraid to come to me with anything like that, alright? I'll sort it out." With his fists. He chuckled. "Remember, only when we're alone, alright?" He didn't think he could handle anyone else using it, except maybe Mathew since the guy was a fucking asshole and all. She even repositioned herself so she could be more comfortable, resting most of her (albeit slight) weight on him. She offered him only a nod when he said he would protect her. She believed him, and that made her feel... safe. Comfortable. She let out a soft sigh, content, and rest her head against his chest as she finally chose something, almost at random. Lo mein with shrimp. That sounded good. "Only when it's just us," she said, going to the next page and beginning to put in her credit card information.
