Evelyn will try to find a piece of furniture to use as cover, using her arm to cover her face and head if she can while firing and firing another handful of lightning balls at HC.
Once the ceiling stops falling, she'll try to get closer to him.
HC turns angrily at Evelyn, but is quickly shocked again. As he falls to the ground, his arm swings her direction as the blast shoots out and time seems to slow a moment.
That moment when you realize you did good, but not good enough. Evelyn looks after HC, mind registering the incoming attack as her father's words rings in her ears.
Matt grabs Eve as the two of them try to get her out of the way, but it's too late. The light envelops her figure.
It's a phantom feeling Mathew has as he's sure he pulled her out, the weight feels like it's there. But it's not. There's nothing from the shoulder down and more importantly where Evelyn stood, there was nothing but ash.
Mathew howls in pain as he pulls back and falls to the ground. His remaining hand moving to his shoulder where his arm should have been before frantically clawing at where his daughter should have been... Where the pile of ash was...
"I didn't- that wasn't supposed to-" he's hit with the brick though it's not a whole lot of force from a down position. He covers his head and scurries ho to his feet!
He takes it on the forearm as he circles around to the door, looking in horror at the sight of his handiwork as he backs out before turning and running.
