Appearance: Jayshawn is a large muscular man of African-American heritage. He has dark brown eyes and black hair that is usually kept short, buzzed, or shaved completely. Though not too bad, his face and hands do show the wear of his past and present occupations. His frame is perhaps overly muscled, though it has diminished in recent years as he halted the use of steroids and HGH that powered him through his fighting career.

In terms of attire, Jayshawn keeps it rather simply due to his size. Sweatpants, sweatshirts, jeans, and T-shirts because finding anything else that properly fit would be a painstaking hassle that he just does not have the interest in undertaking. That said, he has formal clothes for when necessary but only during those times.

Personality: Being from a poor background, Jayshawn is rather involved in charitable works as well as being in tune with the political climate to make sure minority rights aren't trampled upon. These concerns have cause him to become very outspoken on social topics of varying levels. Opinionated to a fault, Jayshawn isn't the biggest believer in the mission Paradigm has or the Vault used to house the criminals they catch as it further segregates them from the rest of the populous. That said he's the smash n' grab type through and through. Still, he's a nice enough guy when in boils down to it.

Interests: Economics, Politics, and architecture. Powerlifting. Charity work in impoverished areas.

Skills: Hand-to-hand combat - Jayshawn has trained from an early age in wrestling and boxing in hopes of parleying his poor upbringing into a career in MMA. He started both at the age of twelve, continuing on until the age of sixteen when his powers emerge. Though his MMA career died, he continued training and became an underground Metahuman fighter, honing his skills with every fight along the way.

Handyman - Due to his repeated work with Habitat for Humanity, Jayshawn has learned a great deal about the building and maintenance of homes. Plumbing, carpentry, drywall/sheetrock, electrical, HVAC, etc.

Abilities/Powers: Metal Mimicry - User can transform their body completely into metal. Users transformed form can be either anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of metal, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Despite the vast change in weight, the user can move much in the same fashion as they can without the transformation.

User gains varying powers depending of what kind of metal they mimic: some metals are soft but malleable and survive damage by flexing under the attack and returning back to their normal state afterwards, others are hard and can take severe damage before eventually breaking. Some users may even shatter after receiving enough damage, but reconstruct themselves afterwards unharmed.

Metals have also varying abilities relating their ability to tolerate/conduct heat, electricity, acid/corrosion, etc.

Steel - malleable, ductile and magnetic/magnetizable,
Lead - Dense, ductile, very soft, highly malleable, with poor electrical conductivity, highly resistant to corrosion

History: Jayshawn is the third born of a set of seven siblings, though most are just half siblings. He only has one full sibling, his older sister Robyn. His mother started having kids at the young age of 16, shortly after she dropped out of high school to try and provide for her growing family while living in the impoverished areas of south central Los Angeles.

When Jayshawn was still very young his eldest brother, Terrell Hodges, was able to get into the University of Southern California and was never heard from by the family again. They eventually heard that he'd gotten a producer position with a music studio, obviously cutting everyone else off to avoid dealing with any "survivor's guilt". A few years later, Robyn executed a similar plan by heading to Santa Barbara and marrying a police officer. In light of this, Jayshawn and his younger half-brother, DeMarcus Donovan, started to feel pressure to help their mother out and took various routes to do so.

While Jayshawn took steps toward a career in MMA, which would be derailed by the emergence of his power, DeMarcus became involved in dealing and gang activity as a Blood. Jayshawn soon adjusted to the underground Metahuman fighting scene, making himself a name and some good money along the way. Their mother tried to veer both boys on a new path while forging her own, a relationship with a saloon owner in Koreatown that she worked at, but both were too set in their ways by this point. One night, DeMarcus was shot and killed during a gang motivated drive by shooting.

Lost to remorse and anger, Jayshawn used it to advance his fighting career without any further thoughts to family until his step-father tried to drag him away from the dressing room of one fight by his ear, screaming and berating him the entire way about the hardship he was creating for his mother. It became a wake up call, Jayshawn quit his fighting to be with his family and eventually applied to join Paradigm. Though his skills would be helpful, his sorted past would make things difficult, he spent two years working as a prohibitionary agent and making sure to stay out of trouble. A task not easily accomplished.

Since then, Jayshawn has worked for Paradigm and done great strides in community outreach while repairing his relationship with his estranged sister.
