Several days ago, Mercyglade Correctional, a prison outside of Chicago city limits, reported the escape of high security inmate Jordan Haynes, recently convicted of homicide; what would be a routine recapture on the part of Illinois State Police has been foiled by the fact this prisoner has manifested superhuman powers, allowing him to easily evade - or defeat, if forced into a confrontation - pursuing officers. He disappeared for a few days, but has now resurfaced and is heading into Chicago; Paradigm has been asked to send agents to help apprehend Haynes, with a minimum of damage to persons or property.
Projected Difficulty: B Number of Agents: 4-6 Type of Assignment: Open approach, set location
((I'd like a couple more defence agents in here, but I'm not going to kick anybody out over it. Just a little notice for anyone interested in filling the two slots left.))
((Looks like that's the team! Come up with a game plan and PM me when it's all good to go, I can supply any intel the team might want but replies might have to wait for tomorrow 'cause it's so late.))
She looked around at the other agents, realizing she didn't really know much about them.
"So, um," she said softly, hoping that speaking up wouldn't put her in some sort of leadership role. "What's the plan? Just find the guy ad apprehend him?"
"Well....I'd like some information first. Perhaps on his last whereabouts and what abilities he seems to have according to eye witnesses, assuming they saw them."
He would pop open the laptop he brought, searching the web for info on the guy and his powers! In the meantime-
"I don't really know all of you so, if you could state your name and ability for me?"
BK can find reports from the police that were sent to Paradigm when their aid was requested! It seems Haynes has manifested the power of elasticity, his body being basically made of rubber. Interestingly, nothing that pops up from his search indicates he ever had a power prior to imprisonment.
What he does find is that Haynes was arrested on charges of murdering Roy Sheridan, a prominent Chicago lawyer with suspected ties to several anti-metahuman movements. The case stirred up a lot of controversy, because of his young age and the extremely abrupt nature of both the charging and trial.
Ken would look around, nodding to each until her got to Murdoc.
"Murder Inc, right."
He would wink at Evie.
"Alright. Our mission is to capture. This guy has the ability to stretch like rubber- which will be a problem for me, Since even with my strength, it would be tough to hang onto someone like that. Each one of you is likely better suited for him. The people he's likely with right now, though? They'll be my problem. So heres what we'll do. Elliot-"
He grinned, looking over at her. Pretty girl...
"I'm gonna call you miss magneto, or mags for short. So Mags, you're ability....is control of magnetization, right? So...can you touch and warp the earths magnetic field?"
The reports don't say, except that bullets have bounced right off him, and often he either inflates himself into a large ball to bounce around or stretches out his limbs to grab and swing from place to place. Officers have generally been jumped right over, but occasionally he's tossed them out of the way.
Ken doesn't see any mention of Haynes travelling with anybody!
No Mags. No Miss Magneto. No Techno Fury. FUCK THESE NICKNAMES.
"Secondly, no I cannot. Considering my age and experience, I haven't reached the level of electromagnetism needed to manipulate the earth's magnetic field. Consider more...most metals. With slight difficulty when magnetism happens to be rather faint."
