"Well, I usually use them as a physical attack," she admitted with a shy sort of smile. "They always seemed pretty solid. So I use them instead of a weapon."
Finishing her hot dog, she gingerly wiped away the juices from her lips before continuing.
"However, if my will is strong enough and the person I'm attacking is... I guess weaker?... I've been able to get into people's heads with them."
Evie smiled gently at the boy before her. They had just met and he trusted her? It warmed her heart to know that.
Nodding, she let the chains slowly unwind from her soul. At first, they were incorporeal, visible only in the rays of the sunlight. Then, they slowly solidified into a soft, glowing metal, and her eyes were mostly black with pupils.
Her hand moved, and so did one of her chains. Slowly, at first... and then far quicker.
One would go to wrap around his waist, and one, his wrist. He'd feel the physical sensation of the metal tightening against his body.
If his mind was open enough, she would sink into his thoughts without too much of a hassle, just the uncomfortable sensation of something beneath his bones. If there was any fight, it would feel like an electric shock... and the harder he fought, the worse the pain would become.
Reflexively he tried to pull away from the chains as they grabbed onto him. But he didn't struggle hard. The sensation was odd though, feeling the metal tighten around him only moments after watching the chains spring into existence.
And like with the physical invasion, the mental one would also be met with some mild subconscious resistance as well which caused Eric pain as she tried to worm and dig her way into his head! What was she looking for?
Her chains would tighten around him as he jerked back, which would probably cause more pain, but she would allow soothing thoughts to flow through her into him.
She didn't really think about anything in particular, just soothing, calming energy.
There was something oddly horrifying about having soothing feelings projected into his mind while his body felt physical pain. If anything, that sense of wrongness would make him mentally struggle harder. And thus cause more pain!
