Following Rhett's departure, Jan Di hadn't done much. When Josh wasn't around she didn't have much more of a reason to wander so she stayed in.

But staying in her pod sucked too.

She made her way to the cafeteria for the sake of sitting in the proximity of people. She thought it was a good way of...being social without being social.

But it wasn't working.

With a sigh, she rested her upper body again the table and stared off into space with a pout.

260 pounds of Frenchman suddenly sat down on the opposite side of the table!

Lucien hadn't been really in the mood for his usual boisterousness, either. Between interference on his interrogation suddenly giving Harold his spine back, the hunt for whomever or whatever was leaking information to the Empire, and the case of the vanished team of junior agents, there hadn't been much to smile about. He had jobs, jobs that required a rare look at Lucien while he was being serious.

That didn't mean there wasn't time for food, though! There was always, always time for food. People had no idea about the sheer caloric intake his power needed to work at its best. Not to mention it wasn't hard see Jan Di just sitting there, moping. Sure, she usually seemed to just laze around, like a giant Korean cat, but this seemed different. And he hadn't heard from Rhett in a while, either...

"Hello."

Jan Di was one of the ones who didn't like his shouting.

Since mostly, she would never ask Lucien to do that. She wasn't going to mess up Rhett's mission and make decisions for him just because she missed him. She wasn't that selfish. Or insane.

Well, Lucien would have helped complete the mission first! Like he'd miss the chance to shed Imperial blood. Plus, Rhett had a good power, but he wasn't as sturdy as Lucien - or at least, Lucien never figured he was.

As soon as Lucien found out who it was, he would drag them off, let the Director grill 'em, then kill them. Jan Di could probably see at least the 'kill them' part in his expression.

"I have a suspect. One of the disappeared agents brought back an Imperial robot and reprogrammed it, a while ago. However, I can't prove anything without data it says is restricted access, and only that one agent has poked around inside it enough to know how to reprogram it without risking losing the data."

Sure, R&D probably had people who could program circles around a teenage girl, but none of them had gone rooting around in Aegis like Eliott had. And, most likely, Aegis would only allow Eliott near him to do it.

"Without proof, though, we can't rule out the possibility of it being a person. What I know is even if the robot hasn't been talking to the Empire, they've been talking to it."

He was seriously considering just killing the thing anyway, to be safe.
