It was starting to take shape. For maybe a couple hours now, with the sun nowhere in evidence and the lights of the shop overhead the only thing illuminating the corridor outside, there'd been the sounds of tools, of wood being forced into shape. Well, not forced so much as guided. Slowly, cautiously, a hand moving as if every last grain had to be perfect. At least he didn't need to use the band saw any more.
