Male

Nationality:
'murica

Spanish/Filipino

Height:
5'4"

110 lbs

Religious Beliefs:
Superpowers = Gods, Gods = Benevolent Beings.

Sexual Orientation:
Everything-sexual.

Appearance:
A short, thin man, SANTONIO THE GREAT likes to think he has the body of a Greek God, when really he has the body of the guy you know who works for the Geek Squad. His arms and legs are long and lanky, and with his only clear muscle definition in his thighs and right forearm. His belly is kind of pudgy from what he eats. His hair is always about shoulder-length and unkempt, and a bit of scruff always adorns his chin. He doesn't do this to be stylish, he simply leaves it there because it's all the facial hair he's got and it took six years to grow in. SANTONIO THE GREAT's physique was gained from a rigorous routine of thinking about working out but never actually doing it.

Personality:
It's yet to be diagnosed, but SANTONIO THE GREAT has multiple mental disorders that have damaged his perception of reality. He thinks life is literally one giant video game and that he is the main character, with his intention being to save the world. Prior to suffering brain damage, he was your typical weeaboo, waifu protector type, and the brain damage didn't help much. In fact, it turned basically every woman he saw into a waifu he needed to protect.

SANTONIO THE GREAT takes basically nothing seriously, least of all death, due to how he sees life as a video game (and in video games, people get to respawn upon death). He has multiple different identities within his mind, all based on various video game or comic characters, from Iron Man and Thor to Geralt of Rivia and DMC's Dante.

Interests:
Saving the world and protecting the waifus.

Skills:
Determination: Power-leveled to level 60 in World of Warcraft in 72 hours when it first came out.
Creativity: Partly due to his insanity, SANTONIO THE GREAT will always have plans A through Z available in any and all situations.
Actor: Is it really acting if a guy thinks he's got many different lives inside of his head? Maybe not, but SANTONIO THE GREAT can play whatever role is handed to him so long as he's told it will save the world.

Abilities/Powers:
Limited Tactile Reality-Warping: SANTONIO THE GREAT can slightly warp reality, but only as far as things he physically touches. It can't be through any layers, he needs to make contact with the item with any part of his skin, teeth, or hair. What he is capable of doing is changing the properties - but not the appearance - of whatever object he is holding into whatever else he happens to perceive the object to be. Because he is slightly deranged, this can vary greatly.

For example, were SANTONIO THE GREAT holding a toy arrow, but his mind processed it as a real arrow, it would take on the properties of a real, strong, sharp, painful arrow, but still look like a toy. If he perceived an article of his clothing as bulletproof armor, it would indeed take on bulletproof qualities. But, the changes need to make sense. He can't wear a shirt and picture it as a minigun - there's no room for that change to even happen.

One major downside to SANTONIO THE GREAT's power is the fact that, because he is deranged, it can be affected by other people as well. Were someone to throw a basketball at him and shout "Grenade," the moment it touched his skin, it would explode. Why? He would perceive it as a grenade, and thus, the change would occur. Were someone to tell him "it's gotta be hell in your clothes" or "it's freezing in that," whatever he's wearing will affect his body in that way so long as he takes a moment and believes what the person says.

SANTONIO THE GREAT cannot make anything with anywhere even remotely close to nuclear-power. He also cannot make many changes, like turning things into clocks if he needed to tell the time. Physical appearance cannot be altered, so this is a huge drawback to his capabilities as well.

History:
Born as Santonio Dominguez, SANTONIO THE GREAT was a couch potato who was going nowhere with his life. He lived vicariously through the characters he'd play as in video games, or read about in comic books, and his family simply let him. He had no social life or legitimate skills to think of throughout his entire life, and he really never got anything done. With no major accomplishments, no education, no work history, and no friends, it became apparent to the Dominguez family that their son was not going to leave any mark on the world.

During a family road trip, their vehicle was t-boned by a semi that hit directly on Santonio's side. The force was enough to hospitalize him and put him into a coma for many years. His body began to fail, and this was about the time reality changed and people began to gain superpowers. Santonio's manifested while his body was unconscious, which gave him very little opportunity to actually use it. However, what consciousness he did have allowed him to hear what was being said to or around him by those who came to visit - and honestly, he rarely had visitors.

Around his 18th birthday, Santonio's mother came to visit all on her own. "Your father doesn't think you'll make it, Mijo," he heard her tell him. That kind of sucked to hear, but he just had to prove his family wrong. In his mind, he was a damn hero, and if he ever got out of the bed he'd show them. As luck would have it, his mother gave him a birthday gift that saved his life. She pulled out a rosary - one she treasured - and put it around his neck. Kissing him on the forehead, she spoke softly, "My sweet baby boy, this will bring you back home to your family. Jesus will guide you - his rosary will cure you." Of course, she said all of this in the hope that her prayers would work.

In a way, they kind of did.

Within minutes, Santonio's eyes opened, and the mother knew her miracle had been answered. He was discharged from the hospital not long after, once his vitals were checked and he went through a small amount of physical therapy. The doctors told him what medicine or tools would help, and the success rates were 100% as accurate as they said they'd be - which was entirely due to his gift. He was sent home, where he quickly packed up his belongings and hit the road.

When asked why he left, Santonio simply shook his head. "You stopped caring for me," he said without the slightest hint of anger in his voice. "But don't worry. Your son will be a hero. I promise. The world will remember SANTONIO THE GREAT!"

With that, he left, and pursued a career as a superhero. Because of his lack of knowledge in current events, he was completely oblivious to Paradigm Academy and what it was they did, but after a couple of months in his superhero career, he sought them out in an attempt to join their ranks. The world never had enough heroes.
