Jan Di turns to her side so she can see BK and Polly as well as Jack.
"Well, let's not forget that there's plenty of missions being handed out in Europe." she says, giving a thoughtful frown.
"In terms of here in Chicago, we don't know if any of the Empire's soldiers are even still here because of their teleportation technology. The only thing that may have left any trail on my side of what happened is that I shot Carter with a gun. I don't know much about tracking, but there could still be blood leading to where he went after."
That was the best she had. It had been a while though, so who knows if the blood was still there.
Polly let out a long sigh and fell back to the bed, obviously deflated.
"Well then we should strike them and Europe and take someone captive. Make them talk. They knew where our home was, we gotta find theirs and hit them back!"
"If you want a piece of them, I'm all for it, Ken."
Jack makes a face, not sure what 'Jefe' means. However, he does smile at Jan Di's observation.
"I don't know who tracks well that's here, though someone who can smell out blood would probably be good for that."
However, this also brings him to Polly's concerns.
"Their home is France."
Jack nods.
"And I think it's about time we gave them something to think about. We've been having some successes over there, so it's probably a good time to at least try and see what we can do in terms of taking their attention back to Europe."
BK would glance away. He was not eager to return to Europe. Horrible things were happening there. But...he knew he couldn't bitch out. There were many things BK was- An asshole, a narcissist, a twat....well he didn't know if he was any of those things, but people sure called him them a lot so he assumed there must be some truth to it.
Coward wasn't on that list.
He cleared his throat.
"I actually just came from Europe. I know many of the flash points, and I'd be happy to be part of a crew sent to fuck shit up."
Well, Jan Di knows a certain mutt...and seeing as she's one of the few who isn't going to Europe anytime soon, she probably should take up that investigation herself.
"Those of us staying in Chicago will keep doing what Paradigm does, I'm sure."
Just because you're not in the war doesn't mean you can't stop criminals here at home.
"Rhett, Josh and I will keep things under control, Jack. But I think everyone would feel better if we had more open communication with those stationed in Europe...so everyone knows what's happening."
"I'm sure there's plenty to do here and there, none of us are going to be taking it easy."
Jack nods.
"I'll make sure that there's better communication over here, now that I'm back, and we'll coordinate with the other academies to make sure we're all up to date, still. Though, until there's a better chance to rebuild... you guys might be stuck here for now."
"While out there trying to sabotage a cargo, I liberated a person from a pod-like contraption. The person I liberated was that boy who made the fart noise..."
A jesus, she never really talked to him. C...something with a C. Chad. Clarence. Cl..
"CLYDE. HE PROCEEDED TO TRY AND BURN ME TO DEATH I HAVE REASONABLE SUSPICIONS THAT HE WAS BRAINWASHED DUE TO THE FACT, I REPEAT, HE WAS IN A POD."
She takes a breath, trying to tone it down again.
"Although I have no proof...I am concerned that he may not be, in fact, be the only one undergoing such a thing...there were many pods I was unable to liberate. I can only suspect who may be in those..."
People who aren't there of their own free will, at the very least.
Eliott gives BK a disgusted face. Even if she didn't hear about the part where he wanted to be involved in things, a member of Paradigm blatantly disregarding what she said was SHOCKING.
At least Polly seemed reliable.
"We were unfortunately unable to capture Clyde...so we're not working with much, currently."
