Personality: After rechristening himself Artorias, Christopher sees himself as above the rest of humanity. After all, he himself was chosen by a heavenly agent, unlike the rest of the world, so he must have a special destiny ahead of him. This leads to condescending remarks aimed at those around him quite often, as well as a general air of superiority. However, overall Artorias is dedicated to fulfilling that destiny, and as such, will protect and save others as a true chosen one should.

Interests: Saving the weak and guiding them to better themselves, ancient ruins and texts, tattooing.

Skills: Hand to hand combat, artistry

Abilities/Powers: “Divine Flames” – Artorias can generate and control his own fire. His mastery is such that he is able to alter the very composition of the flames he emits, transforming the heat into kinetic energy. This results in typical red flames being more akin to blinding tactics, whereas orange, yellow, and white have significant mass behind them when they strike. On one occasion, Artorias has been seen to use a darker, black flame as well.

History:

Life as Christopher Mercer was unimportant. In fact, if you ask Artorias what it was like before he was bestowed his power, he’ll likely just laugh as if the question itself were preposterous. The moment the heavens split open, and a voice called to him to accept its divine blessing, Christopher Mercer ceased to exist.

Instead, Artorias began roaming the countryside, heading from Wyoming into the badlands of Colorado, meting out divine justice to all he encountered that could not be dissuaded from their paths of evil. He struck down criminals, smote monsters that had survived the state’s destruction, and protected those that could not defend themselves in such a cruel world.

All with a satisfied smile on his face.
