Name: [redacted for privacy]

Nickname(s): Penny Manydots

Status: Street Performer

Age: Don't be rude! Be she looks 20-30-ish? But she's DEFINITELY way older than she looks...

Gender: Female

Nationality: USA

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Height: 5'8"

Weight: We THINK she's 150 lbs... Again, a sensitive topic for her.

Religious Beliefs: Agnostic.

Sexual Orientation: She says asexual, but television insists she's straight.

Appearance:

Personality: Friendly, bubbly, excitable, goofy, playful, naive, unconventional, optimistic. She tries really hard to be family-friendly and not to be offensive. Innocent. Rated G. Dear lord, she's not ready for the real world and it's a wonder how she made it this far.

Interests: Loves children and playing with them! It's why she's so devoted to children's programming! Making people laugh and smile!

Skills: Acting, singing, and dancing. Really flexible and quick on her feet. Meeting the educational standards of broadcast television.

Abilities/Powers: Sugar Bending

As in, manipulating sweets in more ways than just bending it. The springiness of gummy, the stretchiness of taffy, the stickiness of bubblegum, the shankiness of sharpened candy cane shivs, the works. She's still learning more about her powers as she goes. Only recently did she realize that she could even affect the temperature of sweets, like turning juices into popsicles and slushes and boiling chocolate. She can manipulate tangy and sour candies so long as there's sugar or some sweet equivalent in it. Y'know, some people wonder just HOW much sugar something needs before she can manipulate it, but Penny doesn't really care for those details. At least, for now.

...And when she's really surprised or hit hard enough, random candy flies out of her like a pinata. No one is really sure how that one works either. Good for supplying her with more sugar to manipulate, if in pinata-sized amounts, awful for Halloween. Please don't hit Penny. She doesn't like that...

History:
A long, long, long, LONG time ago, when Cookie Gobblin' still ate tons of cookies and didn't have to relegate them to being a "sometimes food", Penny was working in children's programming, teaching kids the alphabet, building vocabulary, and so on. It was a sweet gig. She had job stability was the co-host of a long-running show themed around a candy kingdom and she loved every moment of it. One day, Cookie Gobblin' had to relegate cookies to being a "sometimes food" and other shows had to follow suit to promote healthier eating habits among today's youth.

Okay, so Penny's show had to be rebooted, no big deal. She was certain she was still going to be part of the cast. Not so when she suddenly got her powers in the middle of everyone else freaking out about people getting powers. All at once. The television station was in chaos, part of the building fell onto her arms as she was pushing her co-host out of danger, and if it weren't for the set literally being made of desserts, she probably would've bled out.

Fast forward, after the studio got rebuilt, rebooting her show went back on the table. The studio execs didn't like that one of the hosts was now handicapped. The writers and Penny's co-host fought hard to keep Penny on board, and this went on for years while she was undergoing therapy and making sense of the powers she how has. In the end, even with Penny now having the most awesome arms ever replacing the ones she no longer had, the producers and studio execs had to let Penny go. Her new existence clashed with the reboot's message of promoting healthier eating habits.

Her show defined her identity, and it was difficult for her to find work elsewhere, especially in educational children's programming. Syndication took her episodes off air and she was running out of money from residuals. She had to take on a new identity, and that was how she took on the name Penny Manydots and donned a disguise that bore no resemblance whatsoever to her previous role in a certain candy kingdom. At this point, it was easier for her to make money performing on the street than on camera. So that's what she did up 'til now.
