Mae's eyes fairly light up at the sight of her opponent approaching the arena, standing out like a sore thumb compared to the others she'd seen on board so far. Her lips tugged into a smile at his finger, hips cocking to one side as she adjusts her stretching.
"Looks like it, darling." Her tone matched his, smirk in place. "Though I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else to beg for your autograph."
She lets him laugh it up, rolling her shoulders and shifting out of her more relaxed stance, waving away his inflated ego.
"So you're nameless then? 'Cause last I checked, your ass is going to be mopping the floor." And no one with endorsements wants their name written on that. Still, she admired the spunk he had. The handicap, less so. It was almost enough to bring a frown to her face. Instead she tsked and shook her head.
"Not even going to give it some effort?" Her smile hardened. "Might as well throw the match if you're going to start that, darling. Go big, or go home."
She knew the name and face enough to know he had enough to back up his words. Now Mae had to show she could match them. She didnt trust the easy gait as he casually reached for her wrist, turning to face his side and kick at his knees to test just how casual he was going to keep this.
"Naturally." She steps in as he goes back, bringing her arms up to defend her face from the cross jab, grunting when one of them hits, turning to face the side as sparks danced in front of her eyes.
"Not bad yourself." The side of her face stung as she stepped forward and threw a right hook at him!
At least one of them was taking this sort of semi-seriously. Maeve cocked brought the flat of her fist to her chin, tilting it enough to pop her neck. She wasn't smiling now, watching for his reaction. What, had he expected to coast by this?
Actually, he probably was.
"Yeah, sure." Her expression was as frank as her answer. "Haven't seen a reason to use it yet, though."
"Let's speed this up then." He presses a button on his watch as there's a flash of light.
"Operator series blue!" As soon as he's done saying it, he's dressed in his infamous Super Trooper suit, standing glorious with a large blue lance at his side!
Isn't it fun to see who has open mouth/foot syndrome? It is, isn't it? Don't lie to me.
Mae squinted against the flash of light as Lance transformed, feeling her grin return as the man finally took this seriously. Her canines grew longer, sharper, and her eyes narrowed at the glowing blue light of his namesake.
"Let's do this." Yes, she's excited. Shifting her weight, Mae would feint and go for the left to keep him on his toes!
"No, really?" Mental eyeroll. Boys and their toys.
The air whirls past her as Mae dives steps to the side and goes low, aiming to sweep him off his feet with a kick. Putting this off at a distance would only give him the advantage.
